  • Updated my Fitbit Versa on December 11th and I'm lucky if my battery lasts 3-4 hours 😡.  When are they going to fix the 32.70.7.14 firmware as from what I've been seeing online I'm not the only one experiencing this issue

Has anyone heard back from Fitbit regarding this issue?

This was the answer from the Fitbit customerservice:

We’re aware of both issues, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future. We'll continue to monitor the situation, and keep our team informed of the impact to you and other customers. We understand that this isn't the resolution you're hoping for, but rest assured we're always working to improve our products.
In the meantime keep your Watch and app updated and don't turn off your Versa during the night, as we've confirmed that it only drains when it's off. This until it's fixed.

We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

When I replied that I did not like that they basically answered 'Deal with it' they replied:

-------

Thank you for getting back to us.

We truly understand why you'd feel that way as we know that it's such a hassle having one that isn't working as expected. We want you to know, CX NAME, that getting to the bottom of this is just as important to us as it is to you.

Certainly, this isn't the experience that we want you to have knowing that you've been one of our loyal customers.

We also appreciate your time and efforts in trying out our troubleshooting suggestions thru chat and email. We accept full responsibility for this inconvenience and please know that we are taking the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future.

We value your feedback as this is essential for us in improving the quality of our products and services. Rest assured that we'll pass it on to our team.

We look forward to continue assisting you as a valued customer.

Can you post your response on the original firmware post?  I think the users on that thread need to see Fitbit's response regarding this firmware update and how there's no immediate fix for the issues caused from this update.

This is so irresponsible of Fibit as a company!   Why wasn't proper testing wasn't done on this firmware before it was rolled out???  They should have had the common sense to pull this update off their servers once issues starting to be reported.

I think the damage is done for Fitbit....users no longer trust this brand

Which original firmware post do you mean?

I only see one about versa light, but there are already so many replies on that topic.

It's the second pinned post under the one for the Versa Lite.

Its just brilliant... I reset fully...and then what does it force me to do? Update your software to the latest version!!!....so im back to square one with the watch hanging again..when will companies learn that you need to give consumers an option to stay with the same software version if its working fine for you....

Has anyone found a resolution for this? Getting thru to anyone is virtually impossible. I had no issues until this update. I haven't found anything in any other threads stating a fix.

I too am having tons of issues with this firmware update.  For one, my watch restarts itself multiple times per day, and it also drains my battery within about 1.5-2 days, whereas before this update, the battery would last 5-6 days.  I reached out to Fitbit about this and they denied there was any problem and just told me to buy a new watch.

Good to know. If that is the stance, then I'm afraid they'll be losing a
lot of customers. This is the second one I've had this happen with...same
thing killed my Blaze. Fool me once....
