A warm welcome to the Community @Pambob.
If you are having issues connecting your Versa with your phone, I recommend taking a look and follow the steps in the Having trouble syncing? post. About the WiFi, check the Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi? page and follow the instructions provided there.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome.

I'm getting exactly the same things happening on my 3 day old Versa.
Also, my Versa shows the correct stats and everything on my S8 shows up except my Active stats.
S8 also says SYNC ERROR.
UPDATE
I managed to connect to WiFi and received my notifications and it synced to S8, and updated my Active stats, but still says WiFi is not connected

I JUST got my versa today and have a galaxy s8 and it's connected but I keep getting the same message. I suspect it'll keep going on u til fitbit developers fix the issue and there's an update.

Has anyone found a solution to this? My Versa keeps disconnecting from my Bluetooth. I even changed phones and it still does it.

Not that I know of. Mine still disconnects also. 1 minute it is fine then it stops receiving messages . It still keeps steps, thank goodness
Pam, same here same here, but, there's a sequence of activities that brings versa back from the dead. If you're lucky you may have to perform it each week. For me it's usually twice a week or so. Here it goes:
1. On your Versa watch go to Settings, scroll to About. Tap shut down to power off your Versa.
2. On your phone: turn off the Bluetooth.
3. Open Android settings and scroll down to Apps. Tap to open, then tap on Application List.
4. In the right top corner, tap three little dots, then select Show system apps.
5. Scroll down the list to Bluetooth. Tap to open. Tap Force stop. Tap Storage. Tap Clear Cache.
6. Perform step 5 for Bluetooth Midi Service, BTTestmode (or any other BT process you have instead) and important Fitbit app itself. Don't forget to clear the cache.
7. Turn on the Bluetooth and open Fitbit app.
8. Power up Versa by pressing left button. The logo will flash.
9. Once the watchface appears, go to Fitbit app and pull down dashboard to force the sync.
10. Note: Fitbit app may prompt you to reboot your phone to "restore tracker notifications". If this prompt does not disappear from your Android notification center within 30 seconds, do reboot.
11. Finally test the notifications. Ask someone to text you or text yourself to see if everything is working fine.
Hope you do not have to perform it too often. It seems to me it's OS issue. Not hardware .So all we have to do is wait for OS update from Fitbit.

Do you get the above notification on your phone when you do the pull down screen and tap the fitbit notification line??

It can come randomly too. It seems to me Fitbit notification service gets killed, and only reboot of the phone restores it. Now, mind you I could understand that happening if Android OS was optimizing battery usage for Fitbit app. But alas it is not my case. I made sure Fitbit app is not being optimized. I highly recommend doing that. Android tends to kill unused processes that run in the background (so called battery optimization). If you haven't done so, go to Android settings, Battery and in the optimization, scroll down to Fitbit app and select do not optimize. That's just a side note. The notification service being killed seems to be unrelated to that. Ugh 😳

My bluetooth app shows Bluetooth Share. Is this the same app as you listed
in step 5? Also, what is the BTTestmode? I do not have that.

I tried this, it still says "Tracker Not Found". This is getting so frustrating!

Hi Malina. I believe you mentioned you had Samsung. That's why there's no bttestmode. Kill the Bluetooth processes and Fitbit app and clear the cache. Hopefully it works for you.

After shutting down and powering versa again and relaunching Bluetooth and Fitbit app? I think you might have to remove (unlink) versa from your account and re-add it. Also go to paired Bluetooth devices on your phone and forget Versa. When relinking versa, do not set up wifi. Some people reported their trackers wouldn't sync/connect if versa was on wifi.
Note: this may be silly, but make sure your phone is in discoverable mode (in Bluetooth settings)

I'm glad. In my case I have to perform the magic tricks each several days. But hey, at least you know it's not your Fitbit. It's the OS. Let's hope for the update soon.

Yes this works and it's needed to unlink the versa and pair it like a new device. As long as the versa stays connected it push notifications work. If the Bluetooth connection between the phone and versa drops due to some reason ( range, turn off phone or bluetooth) you will have to repeat these steps.
