Is there any plan for a premium developer account?

Hi guys,

 

 

I was wondering if Fitbit has any plan for a premium developer account?

The reason I'm asking is that some stage in the future we may need to exceed 

the Rate limit.

We do not have plans at this time for a premium developer account.

 

The rate limit is per person, so your app's success is not limited by the number of users. The rate limit is one way we keep the Fitbit Web API highly available for all apps. If you have a need for a higher limit for any reason except backfilling all of a user's historic data, contact us privately to discuss potentially increasing your app's rate limit.
