South African food data base

Hi,

How can i get a new food database added for South Africa ?

I am willing to help with programming in order to get a food database for south africa (I live here !) but where do i start to get it registered or setup for use ?  

We will probably need to add foods via barcodes to the food database, but down here at the southern point of Africa, we will get this done and squared away.

@Corne There's been a feature suggestion for it, but it hasn't gained much traction. I usually suggest using another app with a more extensive food database (like MyFitnessPal) that integrates with Fitbit.

As far as what you're asking for, unfortunately I don't think there's anything you can do outside of bumping that feature suggestion or using an alternate app that connects to Fitbit.

Yes I got my Fitbit yesterday but the excitement soon faded after I realized I cannot add South African food 🙄 and I see people have begged Fitbit for 4 years about it thinking I made a mistake
