Timeframe for Implicit Grant?

The wiki states Implicit Grant flow for OAuth 2.0 will be added "in the future".

 

I am working on a front-end-only Javscript app involving the Fitbit api, and thus would need this flow for security of the client secret. Is there any estimate on the time frame for at least beta release of this feature? Some idea of if we are talking weeks, months, or a year or more would give me some guidance on how to proceed with this project. Thanks.

Hi @ChazEstell,

 

This is the top OAuth 2.0 feature we're currently working on. I don't have a date yet, but it's weeks, not months away.
