Hello and welcome to the forums @cuteti
A friend of mine has a Zip and finds that removing the battery, which restarts the device and wiping the battery off (rubbing alcohol mostly) has worked for her. Name brand batteries do seem to be best for her and she usually gets them at a retailer where the inventory is fresh.

I have changed my battery 5 times this week. This morning it showed I had 6000 steps. But it would not sync. It said the battery was low (even though I just put in a new one last night) I changed the battery and lost the 6000 steps. It only showed 288. So it's like starting the day over! I r4ad some people use the same batteries over when they showed dead so quickly. I have been using new ones every time and it still does it. I have i-phone 8. Maybe it's the IOS update.
