Fitbit zip not resetting after setting up mobile device sync

I read a hack about how to use my phone to count my steps when I had forgotten to wear my zip. I clicked on Account and clicked on mobile device. Then when I synced it counted up my steps that morning - about 43 and I was very pleased. Then I looked at my mobile and it was registering yesterday's steps. The battery was low so I changed it. Still the steps were wrong. I took the battery out several times to reset but the number has stayed wrong on my zip and my phone and iPad.

It sounds like you're referring to MobileTrack, not a hack. I recommend checking out this help article, where MobileTrack set up and usage is detailed and explained. Hope this helps in future instances where you're without your Zip. Robot Happy
