Hi Fitbit Zip is going crazy! In one day it tracked over 20 miles and it never stopped registering. As I was holding it and standing still, the step continued to accummulate. This morning I removed the battery and resynced it to my computer. It already registers 4397 steps for today and I haven't even worn it yet. What should I do? Thanks, Melinda

Welcome to the Community @meckhardt! Try performing the restart again but this time do it 2 or 3 times in a row and keep an eye on it, if the issue persists contact the Support Team so they can review your device history and see the options.
See you around!

Contact fitbit customer service, at

It sounds like your Zip has developed a problem that is not your fault, and I have found Fitbit to be responsive about warranty work.
