When I use my rowing machine I remove my Zip tracker. I manually enter the info under track exercise. No matter the time/distance I enter the average calorie per minute always stays the same. I always vary intensity yet cals/minute never changes. Anyone else have this issue? Have I entered info in wrong sequence?

It's frustrating it can't be as accurate as we would like it to be! Clearly you have different level of activities and for a given activity it *should* be able to take it into account. The only way to do this would be to manually enter your own calories. For a lot of activities, there are calculators on the web where you can enter your vital statistics, and the duration and distance of your exercise and it will calculate your energy burn. Maybe this would work if you could find one for rowing. Best of luck!

Hi, @Steve330! When you use a manual activity, it can't take into account how you altered the intensity over time. The only way for it to figure that out would be for you to break the activity into blocks based on intensity and estimate the calorie burn yourself. Otherwise, it will make an assumption on your calorie burn level and distribute it evenly across the time period.

Thanks @MakMak. That makes sense. I just figured it calculated calories based on my weight I entered in the profile on the dashboard. Also for instance one day I rowed 6 miles in 50 minutes. Two days later 6 miles in 45 minutes. Yet average calories/minute shows the same. Thanks again!
