Purchased my FitBit Zip in the middle of February of this year. This morning I woke up to find it has stopped working. I changed the battery, still nothing. Help!!

Okay after putting up this post, I read a few others. I took the battery out and gave a little pull on that metal piece, and my device now works. I'm a bit concerned at how easy it is for that metal tab to become shifted, but so far my device is once again working.

That tab is a very light spring and pressing to hard when inserting a battery could bend it.
This type of connection has been around for many years and still often used with double and triple A batteries
