Have had my Zip for nearly three years. Works great for the most part, only disappointment has been battery life - supposed to be 3 months, I never get more than 6-8 weeks. Fortunately, I've always gotten an e-mail to let me know that the battery was getting low......until today. No warning, just all of a sudden it stops counting and shows a "battery dead" icon on the screen. Nice to know, but a little late. Did something happen to the advance notice via e-mail? Hope not.

Hey @mpinkerman, it's great to have you in the Community!
It's really odd that you did not receive the email letting you know the battery was low and as you say the battery shouldn't be lasting only a few weeks! I believe that this is a problem with the contacts inside the Fitbit, the battery might be loose. My recommendation is to contact our Support Team to they can take a look in your account and give you the best solution for this matter.
Keep me posted with the outcome!

Hi @mpinkerman, glad to see you again!
The first battery you received with the Fitbit Zip was intended to last up to 6 months, however depending on the brand you use to replace the battery it can last just a few weeks or a couple of months, if you notice an unusual activity of the battery, as I said in my previous post, you can contact our Support Team so you can be sure that this is not an issue with the Zip itself.
I hope to see you around and let me know if you have questions.
