My notifications won’t update on my phone??  The last notification was in October.    Help please

Good morning!!!! It’s the other way. It’s when you are notified on your APP on your phone that you are close to your steps for the day or nailed it. Lol I go to notifications but the red dot stays as if I haven’t read them and no notifications since October. I did try and troubleshoot by turning phone off and checking notifications on my phone to make sure it is on

What notifications are we talking about? According to the following help file the zip can't get notifications from the phone:
