Best AnswerI had a Fitbit one last year and swapped to a zip. I am doing the same mile walk as I did before but I’m not calculating the same amount of steps. The data is showing the same on the zip and on whe dashboard. The accounts settings were identical.

Thanks for the reply @SunsetRunner! To ensure that your tracker is working correctly, restart it. Also, you can check the placing of your tracker in the help article How do I wear my tracker? It's possible to get different readings if the trackers are worn in different locations.
