Soooo, I'm not the only one whose Zip stopped synching. Did anyone else get a resolution?

For the past few weeks after an update my Zip hasn't been updating the steps
unless I removed the battery to restart it. On Wednesday the 5th I ran an
update and it's been updating perfectly over since. Hopefully it will last.
Thank You Fitbit for fixing the problem!

Hi @Walk4me2  have you been able to sync? Be sure your phone is compatible and you have the latest firmware for your device.

Hello @Glade  all still going well for you?

Hi @RIwalker  what about you? Able to get it to sync?

It still only works if I remove then replace the battery. Spent an hour on
Chat with Fitbit 2 days ago. They had me try this and that and check on
models, etc. then finally admitted they were aware of a Zip "situation" and
they were working on it. Pretty frustrating!

@RIwalker Unfortunately, that's the same response they were giving us about this problem 13 months ago. ☹️  Maybe we'll get lucky and the Zip sync issues will get fixed as a result of Fitbit fixing lesser sync issues for one of their "current" devices, but I've given up hope. I've retired my Zips and am now using Garmin Vivofit 3's (attached to clips so that I can wear them on my boots, shoes, and/or jeans), which I've found to be a bit more accurate and they sync without issue. I can even have more than one of them on the same account.

Thanks. That sounds very interesting, and I'll check it out.

Hello,

I have a Moto Z and my zip is not syncing up. I restarted my phone and it didn't work. I don't want to take the battery out of the Zip, last time I did that it reset to zero and I lost several days of tracking. What can I do? My insurance relies on me tracking and my last sync was in August. Help!!

Hi @jseconder  your phone is on the compatible list (click to see) but do you have the latest app for the phone?

Hello,

I have version 3.3.1 of the app. I checked in the Play Store and no updates were available.

I have never lost records by removing the battery except one time when the
battery got too low. Don't know what to tell you, but others are
suggesting a different tracker and I may have to do that since I am getting
very tired of this routine. Good luck!

Yes, finally for about a week now I've been able to sync up everything as
usual. Thank you Fitbit for the fix.

@RIwalker  my friend hasn't lost steps either, except for the times she's forgotten to put the Zip on her pants pocket!

@Glade  great news. Thanks for the update.
