It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community @Xmily. You can set up your Charge HR back to your existing account as a replacement device. Please follow these instructions.
I moved your post to the iOS app board because is more related to this topic. Thanks for stopping by, see you around. ![]()

I removed the app downloaded it again made sure I had no up dates on my phone for fitbit still nothing. Then I had read somewhere if you take the battery out plug it in to the charger on your computer then take a safety pin pole the hole on the charger about 4 seconds it some how re sets everything. After that I put the battery back into my fitbit went on my phone & try to add it back & it worked!! Also I didnt loose any information or friends I had either.

Hi ive also had the same problem, i accidentally deleted my fit bit Charge HR off my iphone app and when i tried to reconnect it through the "set up a new device" area, it took me to the page for when youre first setting up your fit bit. ive also tried what youve suggested and that was to Restart my fit bit but it hasnt made a difference and if i follow the prompts on the fit bit app on how to set up a new device i end up going onto the stop watch.

I should be able to help @lizbethd. I'd recommend the following steps:
1. Restart your tracker.
2. Reboot your iOS device.
3. Open your iOS settings > turn off Bluetooth for 10 seconds > and then turn Bluetooth back on.
4. Re-pair your tracker to your account using the "Replacing a Tracker..." workflow mentioned here.
This should get you back on track but keep me posted either way!

@FrenchFrieBucke Were you able to re-pair your tracker to your account or do you still need assistance?
If you still need help, I'd recommend trying the replacement setup process using a computer or a different mobile device if the suggestions in my post above didn't help.
Keep me posted.
To reset the Fitbit, you need to have it plugged into the charger and then hold the button. You have to hold it for a bit. The light on the back will flash and then you will get the Fitbit diamond display with a V and a number.

I have the exact problem stated numerous times above. I removed my Fitbit Alta to try and re-sync it after having trouble with it. But when I tried adding my Alta to my Fitbit App Account on my Android again, it kept "Searching..." and asking if I was following the directions correctly, I have pressed "Try Again" over and over and it still has not worked. I really, really need to re-add my Fitbit Alta to my account, please someone help! I've tried everything 😧

@haley_quinn thanks for joining us in this thread! That sounds quite odd. Hey, out of curiosity have you tried restarting your tracker yet? I see you mentioned that you have tried everything already, please confirm this info for me.
Also, as a friendly reminder and as an effort on keeping the community organized I encourage you to post future Android App inquiries in the Android App board. In there you'll get more relevant info related to your inquiry from the experts!
I recommend attempting a restart and then trying to set up your tracker once again. Keep me posted with the outcome!
@Mmjjaloha143 welcome aboard! It's nice to see new users in the Community. ![]()
To re-install your Fitbit app on your iPad follow these instructions:
1. Open the App Store.
2. In the top-right search field, type "Fitbit."
3. If you do not see the Fitbit app in your search results, please tap "iPad Only" in the top menu bar and then "iPhone Only" from the dropdown menu; the Fitbit app should appear.
4. Tap "FREE" then "INSTALL" to install the Fitbit app.
Hope this helps. Keep me in the loop! ![]()

Welcome, welcome @Patcameron! It's nice to see new faces around.
Oh, that's no problem at all. To install it back to to the Google Play Store > Search Fitbit > Tap install.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!
