Can I adjust my BMR? I got mine tested and the difference between the fitbits bmr and my testing is almost 100.

You can't directly adjust your BMR burn rate. The best you can do is to tweak your age, height or weight until you get the numbers you want.

@Ddsweet 1000 calorie per difference is an astronomical discrepancy between two estimates of BMR. So I am wondering if you might be confusing measurements of BMR with TDEE (total daily energy expenditure).
How was your BMR measured? How did you calculate your Fitbit derived BMR?

Best AnswerYes that should say 100, not 1000. I think my Fitbit has me at 1640 kcal/day And my testing resulted in 1732 kcal/day.y testing was done by a nutritionist. I fasted and laid down for 20 minutes with a breathing apparatus on. Not sure the technical term for the machine.
