Alta and iPhone 4s

My wife's Alta is linked to her iPhone 4s and it seems to take 2-3 minutes for the Fitbit app to find/connect to her Alta

This makes using the app a real pain

Is this usual behaviour, or is something else going on??

I found my problem, but now it has raised a further question

The Alta was bluetooth connected to my iPad - when I turned off bluetooth, everything is fine

BUT Even when I tell the iPad to "forget" the Alta, it STILL connects back to my iPad when  I re-enable bluetooth

How do I PERMANENTLY unpair an Alta from an iOS device??

Hi @philguk, I think I can provide some clarification.

If you have a Fitbit tracker Bluetooth bonded to a mobile device (which is required for things like receiving call/text notifications and seeing live data in the App), that Bluetooth bond prevents you from syncing with a second mobile device. This is a known limitation of Bluetooth.

If you are trying to sync with a second mobile device, you either need to remove the Bluetooth bond between your tracker and phone or turn off Bluetooth for the mobile device that is bonded with your tracker. Click here for more details.
