Alta won't sync with iphone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
My Alta won't sync with my iPhone. I used to have a iPhone 4S so I thought maybe it was just too outdated but I just upgraded to an iPhone SE and it still won't sync. It will sync right away with my iPad mini 2 but not my phone. It just keeps cycling and says "looking". Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to the Community @ehwalker! I hope you're doing great!

Let me help you with this, try doing the restart 2 or 3 times in a row just make sure to follow the instructions that @CindyFitbit shared, if the issue persists try the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth, turn it back on, and then open the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and open it again.
  3. Reboot your mobile device and then open the Fitbit app again.
  4. Try syncing with a computer instead.
  5. If you're still unable to sync, contact Customer Support so they can review your device history and tell you the options.

Let me know how it goes!

I have the same issue.  Fitbit kindly replaces my Charge with an Alta and since the ios 9.3.5 update it will not connect with my phone.  I have tried all the suggestions that there is.  I get as far as putting in the 4 digit code and there it stays trying to connect for ages!  Can't do it on the ipad either but have managed to do it on the mac which obviously isn't the most convenient option.  I have re-started, re-booted, deleted, re-set, turned blue tooth on & off but still nothing.  Is ths more of an apple issue?  Look forward to hearing to solutions!

I'm not being able to sync either and now my fitbit shows a totally different time, I've lost all my steps for today, and calorie count.  Something definitely is going on.

@DumbledoresArmy Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I recommend following the steps on my post here. If you already did some of them; try doing them again. If that doesn't work, try setting it up as a replacement device (check link at @SteveH's post). That should help getting the Alta set up.

@moonwalker312 It's great to see you in the Community! Is that link providing a fix to this issue? Did that worked for you? Give us some details. Smiley Very Happy

Have tried all of the above. Fit bit are sending me a replacement (excellent customer services) as they think it's faulty, I don't think it is as tried to link to hubby's phone but no success! I think it's something to do with latest iOS update.

That happened to mine last week and then I got a weird rectangle on the display. After that it totally died. The band was already coming apart so I thought it had just died. I returned it to the store for a new one. Maybe it hadn't died after all, though... My new one is working well so far.
