Fitbit Update 5/2/2018: Hi Everyone - I'd like to suggest two possible workarounds for those experiencing this app crash:
1. Try turning off Bluetooth before opening the app.
2. Try turning on Airplane mode and then open the app.
If either work, please let me know. Thanks again for your patience as we work to resolve this issue.
Update 4/25/2018: Hi everyone, I've merged a few reports of the app freezing or crashing after iOS update 2.49. Our team is aware and currently investigating. Thanks very much for your reports. As a workaround, you may want to try deleting and reinstalling the app as mentioned in @LZeeW's post.

Hello @EricFitFit, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Tell me, does the app crash in a specific screen or when you open it? In either case, I would like to suggest you to restart your phone and then open the app, monitor it and let me know if it crashes and in which screen it crashes.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, give it a try and keep me posted!

Hi, My fit bit app is giving me trouble also. It seems to be freezing while it is trying to sync. It is not responding when I touch the screen.

Today (22nd April) I am having terrible problems with the Fitbit app on my iPad. App keeps crashing, freezing on the home screen, data will not download. This has been since I installed the latest update a few days ago. I have tried turning iPad off and on again, doesn't work. Can anyone help? Thank you......

@EricFitFit @CGumm @Nettie27 @CynPink Like you, I developed more bugs with the latest iOS update than I think it was supposed to fix. Crashing, all kinds of screen freezing, very frustrated.
I deleted the app then re-downloaded it. So far, so good.

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around @LZeeW, thanks for all your help with this thread.
I appreciate you have all reported this situation. If you have already tried to uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app on your phones and the app is still crashing, I would like to gather some information from you so I can check this further:

Hi Marco,
Thanks for your reply.
The iPad I am currently using is the iPad4
The OS version is iOS 10.3.3
I am unable to give you the app version installed as when I go into the app either the home page freezes or my iPad crashes ( which it has never done before)
I installed the latest version of the Fitbit app about five days ago.
Thanks

@MarcoGFitbit I have an iPhone 6s
I am running iOS 11.3
My Fitbit app is v 2.49
I had crashing and frozen screens. I have been lucky in that it has been working well since deleting and re-installing the app.
Except for the Weather app on my Ionic. It kept saying to sync it with the Fitbit app to update. But that didn't work. I did some kind of magic combination of restarting the Ionic, restarting my phone, force quitting and restarting app -- all several times. So I don't have a magic answer for that.

I’m using app version 2.49 on an iPhone 7, iSO version 11.3. Since the last update, every time I get on the app, it freezes. I have just been trying to just sync my Alta HR or turn on some alarms. I’ve tried logging out & back in and deleting & reinstalling. Nothing is helping.

The next day it just seemed to have worked it out on its own, It's working fine now , hope no more problems. If so I'll probably delete the app and re install it. Some others had luck doing that.

This is exactly same for me mines a 6s but I can log into the app and then it just freezes and I can’t get on anything. If you find a way to stop it I would like to know too.

This has started in the last couple of days, though I didn't update anything as far as I know.

I received the notice of an update. When I initiated it, my Fitbit went to a black screen and would not illuminate. I thought perhaps it was not charged, but after leaving it on the USB charge, no results.

Fitbit Alta - won’t sync and/or the app freezes. And now I’m not receiving messages. Just hasn’t worked since the last update.

The last few days the FitBit iOS app just freezes upon syncing. Is anyone else having this issue? I also am suddenly not getting call and text notifications on my Charge 2.

Hello @DanBrewer, have a warm welcome to the fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you around, @LZeeW, @CynPink, @SarahBart and @Nettie27, thanks for taking the time to reply.
@CynPink and @LZeeW, I appreciate you have come back and let me know your issue has now been resolved. I'm very glad.
@SarahBart and @Nettie27, thanks for providing the information requested, I'll make sure to forward it to our team and once I have an update related to this issue, I'll make sure to update this thread. Please keep me updated if anything changes on your side.
@DanBrewer, which tracker are you currently using? If you haven't done it yet, please try to charge your tracker on a different USB port, if the tracker doesn't start charging, restart it and then leave it plugged in for 5 minutes and check if something comes up on the display.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
