As the title says my Fitbit app will not properly sync and constantly crashes while using the IOS 14 beta. Does anyone know any fixes or will we just have to wait until an update?

I did an online chat with Fitbit yesterday for about 1 1/2 hours.  After trying many things (some I had already done a few times) she had me do a factory reset and my app finally found my Fitbit Versa.  Same thing happened the last time iOS had a big update.  I have an iPhone 11.  Happy to be up and running again, but I am looking into purchasing an Apple Watch.  Kinda done with Fitbit.

I just fixed the issue, these were the steps.

1. at the iphone, go through Settings >> Bluetooth >> Versa 2 >> select "Forget This Device".

2. at the watch clock, touch Settings >> About >> Shutdown.

3. turn on the watch again and wait for the screen to be already.

4. at the Iphone, open the fitbit app, try to sync again.

all set. It worked for me.

I suddenly lost my historical data yesterday! The app only shows data from 16 Sept to today. I have tried everything to restore my data but no luck. My Fitbit app is already updated. I am using Versa 2 and on ios14 on iPhone 8s Plus.

Does anyone know when they plan to release an update? The App has been crashing since Sunday and I am using the latest version of 3.30. I have an IPhone 8 with IOS 14 installed. I have a FitBit Versa 2. I've done all the suggestions and nothing is working.

I finally succeeded! iPhone8, iOS14.0, Fitbit4 with version 48.20001.96.29, Fitbit app 3.29 (988).

Yesterday evening phone didn't connect anymore, removed bluetooth device, but couldn't retrieve Fitbit anymore as bluetooth device.

Restarted fitbit watch, restarted iPhone. Then:

- turn off bluetooth switch in settings

- hard reset iPhone: briefly press volume up, briefly press volume down, hold power button for about 8 seconds till apple icon appears (so do not swipe the bar to turn off). Did this several times, because battery got empty. Switch on bluetooth mode in settings. No change, no solution. Set to flightmode and went to bed.

- when I woke up and turned off flight mode, opened the app and all syncronized, though I didn't even re-connected the watch as bluetooth device.

- I see there is an app update now, but I didn't yet install.

Hope you guys also will be able to reconnect soon! Maybe this post can help you.

They won’t address the issue I’ve been having problems since last week.  Still nothing frustrating as all heck. I can’t count how many times a day I’ve been doing all these **ahem** troubleshooting ideas they keep having us do!!! 😡😡

I am also experiencing the same issue. IPhone 8 plus, running on the new iOS 14 update. My Versa lite is running on the latest update. It is no longer synching with my phone.

What are the next steps? It seems like there are many people with this issue.

Hi There

Have had a Fitbit for years starting with an original Surge but have really had enough of this Ionic.  It has been nothing but trouble in syncing to my iPhone 11.  Have now updated iPhone to IOS 14 and now nothing will connect.

Have done everything the forum suggests and still nothing

Fitbit App will say "found it" then cant connect or go any further,

Am i to be another user who finally quits and buys an Apple watch?

Hi

iOS 14 "upgrade" to my iPhone SE (old) and nothing will connect via Bluetooth. I tried all the usual suggestions.

Not just the FitBit -- my Kardia EKG device won't connect, either.

I understand that there is an update to 14.0 but that it may make matters worse (if that is possible). There is supposed to be an update to the update in the works.

same has just started happening for me.  Says it can't find the device and it wont sync properly.  Have restarted it and it worked okay then it has stopped again today.  Frustrating. I am using a Fitbit One.

Ever since going to iOS 14.0.1 on my iPhone 11 Pro my Fitbit Ionic stop syncing and no matter what trouble shooting step tried and followed, it will not work. The closest I can get is after a restart of the tracker while trying to add my Ionic again, it will find it but it can't complete the process.

However, on my other phone, an iPhone 7 with 14.0.1 everything works fine...without an issue so I'm unsure what the deal is.

I've restarted all, removed all, deleted all, reinstalled all, tried to add...no avail.

I have an iPhone 11pro, I updated iOS to 14.1 on Saturday and now the app won’t even find the device. I tried restarting the phone several times, I’ve logged out of the app, rebooted and logged in again. Still no love. I also made sure to charge the Fitbit and tried to manually sync, but no love. I made sure the app is up to date but haven’t synced since the 26th.

  4. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  5. Reboot your phone and restart your Fitbit with the steps from this help article .
  6. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Set Up a Device.

I have tried the above numerous times and it still does not work (1 x iPhone SE with Inspire HR and 1 x iPhone X with a different Inspire HR) since upgrading to IOS 14 and going to 14.1 makes no difference. I’m getting to the point of contacting you for a refund for these devices tbh.

Hi @JohnnyJJ, thank you for your reply.

I appreciate your efforts and the additional details and would like to confirm that 3.31 is the latest version on the Fitbit app. I am sorry to hear you continue experiencing difficulties with syncing, I totally understand how you are feeling. Please confirm if you're using both of your devices - Fitbit Surge and Ionic? If you're not using your Surge at the moment, you can try removing it from your Fitbit account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices. After that try to sync your Fitbit Ionic.

Keep me posted.
