First, I have experienced every problem described here since early September, BUT, in the hopes of helping fitbit figure out what is happening for others, I want to let them know that after deleting the app and reinstalling on my iphone 5s, MOST of the problems corrected. Syncing is slow but works. I note the app constantly looks for my fitbit one, even when connected to my charge 2, and that may be causing some battery issues. Finally, yesterday, I got the nerve to upgrade IOS from version 10 to 11.03 and so far it seems to be working. I have, however found that I need to deactivate bluetooth from my ipad for all devices because of interference (and have).
So, for a few of us, it does seem that what fitbit is trying has helped. I want to note, though, that I access the website dashboard access on my pc laptop too and have to wonder if those not able to login have issues there as well.
For those experiencing the frustrations that continue, I truly feel for you. Even a few days had me pulling my hair out, as this is my daily motivation to take care of my health, to eat right and exercise. To lose even a day's activity documentation--after nearly four years of continuous logging-- is beyond frustrating. My best wishes to all, that fitbit finally gets this solved--for EVERYONE.

I am also having this issue. I have updated my iOS app to version 2.41.1 and yet I am still continuously logged out multiple times a day. While I didn't mind at first...I'm starting to reach my limit. Please let me know what can be done to fix this issue.

Same problem except on iOS. Also, it refuses to sync my sleep data half of the time. Honestly, it's becoming a pain in the butt.

Hi all,
possibly I’ve found a solution to the problem.
1. Log out of the app on your mobile device
2. De install the app from the mobile device, make sure it is really gone
3. Shut down the mobile device, not in standby. But really shutting down the device.
4. Restart the mobile device
5. Go to the App Store download the Fitbit app and install it
6. Log in and configure the app with the Fitbit tracker type
the above steps helped me to solve the issue. Hope it works out for you too!
cheers

The last update was weeks ago and the problem is not fixed. Still getting logged out. Still having to restart my watch several times to get it to sync. Still having problems with the scale sync.
It is time to fix the problem!!!!!

Did you upgrade the app to 2.41.1? And did you shut down your phone and restarted it?
My problem is now fixed: I'm using a Blaze (Version: 17.8.401.3).

I am so done with Fitbit.
All you get from the folks here are platitudes and deleted posts. Yesterday, it took restarting the app FIVE times before the watch would connect to the app for exercise.
I am telling them, but they won’t listen, that this is a connectivity issue.
Today, I can’t even log in to the app.

For over 2 months the app would log out and go days before I could log back in. It would not connect and sync to my desk top, saying no internet connection. I followed all solutions and updates. Failure. 3 days ago I purchased a VPN. Guess what? The app has not logged out once and syncs every time. If it makes it a full week I will be over joyed. Yes, this is some type of connectivity issue. Will Fitbit ever find a solution? Are they willing to suffer the bad reviews while promoting new products?

I'm going to delete the app from my iPhone and reinstall it. Hopefully that will correct the problem.

This issue appeared with an app upgrade. Fitbit did this and now can't reverse it. The app itself claims it needs the log in for security. But once I log in from any computer, I am never asked to log in again, indicating the problem is only with the app programing. So they made a change, possibly to accommodate their new Ionic. Maybe the Ionic needs the security and they won't do anything to jeopardize their new flagship device. Therefore Fitbit is throwing patches on the problem. Patch after patch. Does this issue only affect iOS? I uninstalled the app. Reinstalled it and now I last about a week without logging out. The Fitbit now doesn't sync with the phone app without the app being restarted. Fitbit has a sticky problem that is only being half heartedly worked on.

It has now been 10 weeks since this problem was reported in this thread. Still no resolution. They say that the problem has been “mitigated”, but my symptoms keep getting worse. I keep telling them that it is a connectivity issue, but they won’t listen.

Exactly. The app was useful. Over time, I came to rely on it, now seeing it as indispensable. Then this. Sickening.

Have you tried turning off the WiFi? It worked for me.

Yes it works to sync "once" but...
As soon as you are connected to a WIFI hotspot that requires login and returns an HTTP redirection/error code, the fitbit app considers you were logout ;(
