I am so done with Fitbit.

All you get from the folks here are platitudes and deleted posts. Yesterday, it took restarting the app FIVE times before the watch would connect to the app for exercise.

I am telling them, but they won’t listen, that this is a connectivity issue.

Today, I can’t even log in to the app.

Have you tried turning off the WiFi? It worked for me.

If you mean turning Wi-Fi off and then on. Yes. Dozens of times in the three months that this has been happening.

If you mean turning Wi-Fi off and leaving it off. No. That would be silly. That defeats the purpose of having an iPad and a wireless home network.

My app hasn’t logged out in a few days but I can’t get my watch or scale to sync. I still have to shut my watch off and back on several times to get it to sync and I am not getting all my steps logged to the app.

As I have said in multiple other posts, my app would log out and it would take days to be able to log in again. The Fitbit Connect on my laptop would not sync. My Charge 2 was useless. I recently purchased pureVPN. It has now been 4 days with no log outs. Everything is working fine. I know we should not have to buy outside products to make Fitbit work, but Fitbit certainly is not going to help us. The Christmas sales are right around the corner, meaning great prices on other brands of fitness trackers. Remember, go to Fitbit on Facebook or any other site and leave an honest review of the app and tracker. Good luck everyone...

A VPN clearing up your problem should give the developers a clue about the underlying connectivity issue.

IF they are listening.

IF.

Recently, withing the last week, my Fitbit one is requiring me to login after I receive a message saying to the effect that  I must do so for security reasons. Happens at least 3 times a day. Never was the case in the past.  So has security changed? Or  is there a new bug?

I am also having this issue. Every few days, the app will lose authentication. Once I'm in the logged out state, I'm still able to enter data, but when I exit and go back to the screen, it is missing since it never saved because I was logged out. I have lost data because of this. If I kill the app and restart it, the login view is displayed.

Please address this so:

1. I remain logged in and do not have to continuously reauthenticate.

2. When the app is in a logged out state, the login view is displayed. Any time a request fails with a 403 status, the login view should be displayed. Without this piece, users are able to enter data and use the app, even though none of their changes are saved. The user has very little indication that they are logged out. The only way to notice is to enter data, back out of the view, then reenter the view and notice that the entered data is missing.

I have the newest version 2.41.1 but my app keeps logging out.

I actually think that the logout issue appeared on my phone only after 2.41.1 was installed,  it never happened before.

I normally keep the app running in the background at all times. Once every day or two, I notice that the app information is not refreshing (either not connecting with the tracker or not saving manual food logging), so I close the app and restart it. That’s when the app is asking me to log in again. Previously, I never needed to close and restart the app. Also, restarting the app would not ask me to login again.

Thank for fixing this 🙂

I have an iPhone and my fitbit app keeps logging me out. It starts with it not syncing with my fitbit and then it just logs me out. Anyone have any updates on this? Looks like its been an ongoing problem for a few months now.

Glad it's not just me, app logs me out every other day, adding on top of other issues I have with Fitbit, I've deleted the app and stopped using Fitbit all together.

I have updated to 2.41 but it still logs me out every three/four days. It is frustrating since the Fitbit icon was flashing at the top left and nothing got synced, I didn’t know I was logged out until quit the app and relaunched.
