It is extremely irritating when things don't work as designed. I hope
fitbit fixes this soon as they have told me they are trying to address it
in a timely manner.

They seem to have working on this for two months. It is the result of an app update. For some reason they don't want to reverse it. If you want more response, post on their FB site. They are quick to respond there.

Some people, like me, refuse to subject ourselves to Facebook. Fitbit should be more willing to help folks on their own site. However, I now seriously doubt Fitbit’s commitment to its paying customers. Kinda NFLish of them.

Anyway, this observation might help them realize that the underlying issue is connectivity: I was home for three days straight, almost never being away from my home Wi-Fi. Not once did I need to log in. Went to work the next day. Bang! Logged out and had to log back in.

@eye95 I am seeing exactly the same thing. As long as I only sync at home, I'm not logged out. But everytime I try to sync on the wifi at the gym or anywhere else, I have to log in again. That and every single other problem I am having with Fitbit (steps disappearing by the thousands, battery draining, etc.) can be explained by connectivity issues with Fitbit's servers. I'm guessing they're afraid that if they admit that they're having server issues people will be less likely to buy an Ionic, but as it is, they are managing to anger hundreds of thousands of loyal Fitbit users. It seems like very very bad public relations to me.

iOS same issue, app logs me out every use and it is really annoying to have to log in every time I want to track something. I may start looking for another tracker!  I never had these issues with my Jawbone tracker!

I am no longer having problems with my FitBit, or the app logging me out. Why am I Different? No idea. But that last few iOS app updates have fixed Xenia the problem for me. So I'm turning off notifications for this topic.

For the last week I wasn’t getting logged out but still had problems getting it to sync. Today I have been logged out 3 times and lost all my morning data.

All I can say is I give up!!!!

This is getting really annoying. Any update on when this will be fixed for real?

I have Fitbit App version 2,41.1 on my iPhone 6 plus.  The problem of the App logging out every time it is closed still persist. So, you have to login every time you re-open the App.

My Flex seems to keep requiring me to login various times daily. This is new. Is that an update?

@darlenemob Welcome to the Fitbit family! I moved your post to this thread on the iOS Board as it is about the same topic and want to keep them all together here.

Fitbit is aware of this problem and is currently working on a fix. Hopefully, this will be fixed as soon as possible. Stay tuned for official updates on this thread.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

More of the same old platitudes—and nothing of substance is happening.

I am exploring alternatives to Fitbit. I am so done.

After months of this problem, I think I speak for the community at large when I say that patience is long gone...understanding was never in it at all.  When will this be fixed??  I fear your answer is going to be "Never, unless you're running iOS 11 or above", which is unacceptable.  I shouldn't have to get a new phone to use my new FitBit.

The problem is getting worse!!!! I couldn’t sync at all yesterday. I lost all of my data for the day. My app wouldn’t login.

I don’t know what you all are doing but this is crazy.
