Battery level disappeared on new Fitbit app

The old app always showed my battery level in the upper right corner. The new app does not seem to show it anywhere. Am I missing something? I know I can swipe right on my Fitbit and I get an email when it’s low but it was handy to easily monitor it.

My charge 5 battery indicator on the watch is too tiny to be helpful. I much preferred using the app.

I agree! Everything about the new app is terrible. Doesn’t display battery percent left when pull down screen. Display no longer in color. No fireworks when reach goals. Can’t change basic screen to display just those components I want to see. They need to rethink changes. Ugly.

Can you use any other charger than the one specific to Fitbit Sense - order one online but could not find locally any other options ?

Best Answer

Do not like the new app look at all. I relied on the app to tell me the battery strength. Now I only find out when it’s too low. That can be a problem. It might die on me when I least expect it. Before I could be proactive and start recharging when at 50%.

I have a Flex 2, so no screen on the device. This is a really irritating step backwards in the app. The App is saying the battery is full when it isn't. The device lights up all it's little lights when it's full if charging, which is great, but no use if you want to know if you have 20% or 5% left and to take it off and charge it now or can wait until tomorrow.

Exactly, some changes are not for the better. I do not like the new app layout at all. Why do they not get customers opinions first

Best Answer

Yes, I agree.  They should of consulted the users to see what we wanted to see in the app.

Does Fitbit/Google read and respond to any comments or feedback ? Would really like to understand their rational for changes and deletions regarding the new app

Best Answer

I'm not sure but we made the news on Google stating that the users of Fitbit weren't happy with the new update.

Dumb Fitbit! This'll be my last, too many stupid compromises.

Works for Sense 2 also.  Don't know why they moved it.  Thanks!

Fitbit screws it up again.  Seems like their software dept is entirely staffed by by high school kids on work experience.  Any chance of going back to the previous version? That worked fine.

Agree with all of those that said the app needs to be able to display the device battery percentage. Yes, its on my clock face but I tended to use the app more. This is a bad step backwards.

Best Answer

Completely agree. My charging connection is always touch and go. I use the app to see if the device is actually charging without disturbing the cable.

Best Answer

For those of us who are older and using the Charge 5, it's way too small on my device so I've always used the app. I really miss the percentage shown there.

Best Answer

I'm seriously missing the charge level on  the app. If an app is updated it shouldn't be downgraded.

Best Answer

I sure miss that part of the app, that’s how I check my battery

Best Answer

I agree.

Best Answer

Yes we need the percentage level back on the app.

the app is getting worse and worse. first they removed the challenges and now this. most people I know replaced their fitbits. With so many better options not sure I will stick with it. Looking for new options and I used to be a die hard fitbit fan. Hope they are reading these comments.
