Please sort this soon. It meant my last recharge took six hours on my inspire because the app kept showing no change on the battery status and every time I removed it from the charger it took at least twenty minutes to get the connection right again so it would charge. The inspire charge connection is the fiddliest thing I have ever used and absolute rubbish!

I have this same problem on my iPhone X with Charge 4, and my wife is also seeing it on her iPhone 12 and Charge 2. We must force close the Fitbit app and restart it in order for the battery charge level to update in the app,  How do you developers break something like this when it has worked fine in the past? And how does it not get caught in testing before a flawed version of the app is released?
Please fix soon!

My Versa 3 is fully charged but my app is showing 58% and not updating the battery level.

Hi @WorldRunner20 - the title of the topic implies that your watch is not syncing. To make sure that syncing works it is probably a good idea to restart the watch AND the phone. Try that it may help.

Hi, @WarrenDD - it seems like a bug in the Fitbit App with the version you have as identified by your good troubleshooting.

Have a look in the forums as others have noticed this with iOS.

You can always contact Fitbit Support directly.

Same issue with Inspire 2

Hi, My Fitbit also does the same.  It started after the last update on my iPhone.  Also does it on my iPad which it worked on earlier. Everything else in the app works fine.  If you close the app and then reopen again it syncs. Definitely an app problem and hopefully they will fix in the next update. Stay safe.

Hi there, @WorldRunner20. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post.

Regarding the battery level on the Fitbit app, note that it updates every time you sync. That means that if your watch hasn't synced yet, your app will still show the battery percentage of the last sync.

Once you charge your watch make sure to sync and you'll see that the percentage on your Versa 3 will match with the one on your Fitbit app.

If you're running into syncing difficulties, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Hope that helps.

My issue is the app not syncing....the battery level on the watch is correct but the app on my iphone is not.  I have unistalled and re-installed the app;  I have restarted the watch and my phone; nothing works.  The app on my phone will register a higher battery level than my watch (and the watch level is the accurate one).

This just seems to be something recent that has happened.  I have not ever had this issue before.

Hi @johnsonw74 -  if the other data syncs to the Fitbit App [steps etc.] then it is probably a bug, given you have done good troubleshooting steps. Have a look for other users identifying the same problem in the forums.

I have the same problem.  It's definitely a problem with the app though and not my tracker, because when I force quit the app and start it up again the display for the battery percentage is fixed.  Temporarily.

I have the same problem. It started with the December 10 Fitbit app update. There is nothing you can do to fix this they have to release a fix with an update. Knowing  Fitbit this could take months.

Hi. I’ve reset both watch and phone and still doing same thing. Is there an update maybe?

Best Answer

Synced and all the same. Is there an update or should I delete the app and reinstall?  I’ve had my watch almost a yr and didn’t have this issue until recent.

Best Answer

It's probably a bug in the Fitbit App, affecting possibly iOS? May be fixed in a next update.
