Roy,
The important update is in the Apple Store. It’s a specific Fitbit app update.
I updated and tested it this morning before I updated the Apple OS 15.3.
Of course, any future updates can, in theory, break this again (let’s hope not ).

You get it from the App Store/Fitbit - you will see it says update and you push that. I did and so far it seems to be syncing correctly finally!!

Thanks Bill,

I didn’t know you could or how to find updates in the Apple store, but when
I was chatting with Fitbit support they recommend deleting the app and
reinstalling. I guess it would make sense that the app in the Apple store
would be updated as well as that seemed to fix it.

Right, so reinstalling the app this morning would have taken care of it.

It was an update to the Fitbit app. I have my phone set to install app updates automatically but if you don’t, you can go to the App Store and see what apps you have that have pending updates.

My sleep details had disappeared so they had me send my device back. I hope I hear something from them soon about the replacement. I miss my Fitbit!

Recently the Fitbit app on my iPhone no longer correctly tracks the charge percentage of my Fitbit Charge 4.  I have to kill the app and re-open it for the charge percentage to be correctly reported.  Have others experienced this problem?  It appears to be rather recent, the past week or so.

As of the latest update, Feb 2022, the problem appears to be corrected.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I have done the latest iPhone 12 update to 15.3 and it has made no difference to my Fitbit Sense.

The phone and app %charge still differ and only synch when I restart the Fitbit phone app.

So it appears not to have anything to do with FITBIT and it remains a FITBIT app issue/bug.

Why it worked for you might depend on your phone, which is?

Cheers

Hi Greg,
It’s not the Apple OS that fixes this issue. Go to the Apple Store and run Updates. It should show the Fitbit Application as one of the updates.
This appears to fix the battery indicator problem.
Thanks,
Bill

That and I've found you have to sometimes manually re-sync a couple of times for all the data to be updated.  This has been an issue as long as I've owned FitBits.

Aha thanks will try that then. So it is an APP update then.

Ok can confirm that the new update indeed resolve the problem so it was an app and not a phone issue.👍

I am not sure why @LizzyFitbit has not posted this on this forum but it is typical of Fitbit to behave like this and offer meaningless apologies and statements on how they understand and know how we feel. 🙈 🙉 🙊

So much for customer support and the only customer support that counts is ourselves and how we identified and helped Fitbit resolve a problem they never knew they had. So whose IP is it? 😂🤣😂

I wouldn't be too hard on @LizzyFitbit, my guess is she's the last to know.

It is odd though as when I walk on the treadmill it updates all relevant information in real-time so it must be a bug that crept in.  You know fix A and create B?

I have the latest and it still doesn’t work.

Latest what?

Fitbit update (ver 128.6.12) or iPhone update (15.3) or both?  What phone do you have?

Both, iPhone. Looks like 15.3.1 will fix it

I have 15.3 but will also update to 15.3.1. I am not sure if it is related to the IOS version though.

What iPhone do you have?

I have iPhone 12.

I use the iPhone 12 Pro. I have sent my device back after working with customer service. I’m anxious to have a replacement and try out the updated app. I truly think it was a software problem but they thought it was possibly hardware. Now it’s taken USPS forever to even get to to their return center! I’m missing my Fitbit!
