Hi Ian,
No I responded to Juan not you, but I share the same sentiments and experience. FITBIT simply has no service level and I have grown tired of its canned and meaningless responses. So I do not use the community unless really necessary and then only to see if what I have is a common problem like the charge being different on phone and watch.
Whether FITBIT likes it or not their watches do have the occasional brain-fart but my view is that they focus on the next product and relegate problems to the backburner. The point at which sales and marketing transfer to legal.
However, all watches, with internal batteries will have a fixed lifespan and which is not just a FITBIT matter and ALL smartwatch suppliers know this and why they simply use the buy the next model strategy. What no watch providers provide is what number of recharges and what depth of cycle is applicable. One must buy and live with it?

LZeeW,
I agree it looks like an IOS issue, it may just be a Fitbit app issue!
However Fitbit in there normal head in the sand approach seem not to be interested.
What I need is a device and application that work, are reliable and close to bug free.
This they are not providing, (no have they in the 4 devices I’ve owned, luckily for me on my other devices the problems did not affect my usage. This time they most certainly do!
The first step in appreciating you have a problem is to admit it - Fitbit never ever seem to do this, the denial (or unwillingness to empower their support staff is close to being criminal in my opinion.

LizzyFitbit,
Thanks for your answer, now however due to an app update and IOS update the reply is not far out of date.
Despite the app update the issue is not resolved and many many more users are reporting this as still not working. Your aware that most users just get fed up and never use Fitbit devices again.
However, I and many other request an update to the official reply to this issue.
regards

Well for me it’s just mildly inconvenient. I can look at the watch to see battery level. And it doesn’t need t be charged much so I’m good. My son keeps telling me to get an Apple Watch. I don’t want to charge every day. I don’t need bells and whistles. The Fitbit Charge 4 does what I want. And I know I’ll have to buy a new one every 2 years. That’s ok with me. And in between, I don’t need much help. This was the first time I had posted. Cheers!

I only did this today and it worked for both my Sense and my wife's Versa 3 just restarting the app.
As I write I see it has 100% on the app and 85% on the watch so it seems to be a bug1. Doing a resynch did nothing!
I killed the app and on restart it was 85% but I did not need to resynch so it might be a phone app issue.

Yip every time I restart app on the phone it updates and synchs. It is definitely an app issues. On the sense menu it gives time of synch and says Battery Full when it is 84% ?

1) I agree that restarting the app does frequently resolve the battery reading issue
2) But this is not acceptable or consistent solution.
3) This is not the major issue for me. More important to me is the Sleep Score. (I’m resigned to the fact that the SPo2 feature came to me as a free upgrade and therefore I have no right to complain; however had I purchased the Versa 2 for that reason then that would be different).

Hi everyone.
Thanks for your feedback and efforts while working on this matter. I understand how you're feeling and I apologize for the experience that you're having with the Fitbit app. Our team is working hard to get this resolved as soon as possible and while we don't have a time frame, your comments will be passed along to keep them informed of this situation.
For the ones that haven't done so, please check the suggestions shared in my previous post. Rest assured that the battery percentage displayed on your Fitbit device should always be accurate.
Your feedback is truly appreciated and I'll update this thread as soon as I have more details to share.

Thanks for the update. Like everyone else I can only view the correct battery level if I turn my Bluetooth off & then on. I am patiently waiting for information on a fix.
I now have another issue. My Charge 5 is 2 months old & the battery went for an entire week without needing a charge. Beginning this past weekend it suddenly needed a charge every 24 hours. To say I’m frustrated is an understatement.

To all that have participated on this subject, just a heads up. Today (February 10, 2022), I noticed a Fitbit App update available on my iPhone. It just says “some bug fixes “. So far it appears to have fixed the battery indicator problem. Let’s all hope that our Communications on the subject has paid off.

It’s an app update not firmware update. It’s for all on iOS. Not sure on android
