For clarification, which type of Fitbit tracker do you have (ie Charge HR, Blaze, Alta)?
What I would first recommend is re-pairing your tracker to your account using the replacement setup instructions listed here.
Afterwards, depending on which type of tracker you have, you ca setup notifications by following the notification setup instructions listed here.
