I was so hopeful the new update (Nov. 14) would include putting back the ability to see remaining calories for the day. For anyone who relies on this feature, I'll share the workaround I just implemented. Since the remaining calories metric is visible on the website dashboard, I logged in to my account on the web browser on my phone and saved the web tab to my home screen. I also tweaked the layout (on desktop) to put the calories tile top left so it's the first thing visible when I hit the tab on my phone. So disappointing that in this age of technology Google would remove this highly useful feature from the app and force us to have two Fitbit icons on our phones just to manage our account.

@dianewordsmith Please vote for and leave a comment on this request in the Product Feedback forum. I think comments carry more weight than just votes. Please describe your workaround. We shouldn't need to do stuff like this.

Agreed on this! I've been a calorie tracker using the FitBit app for years, but my last tracker bit the dust over the summer and I only just replaced it. I'm so disappointed to come back to the app after a few months and see that this feature is now gone!? Fitbit, why are your app updates taking features AWAY? If it's available on the web browser, it should also at least be an optional view in the app. Don't be silly, and don't make me regret buying another Fitbit...
