Can I edit my weight goal without losing my progress?

OK when i first set up my Fitbit (a Blaze, but now a Versa) last October I set a weight goal.

Everything is going great and I am very near that goal.

I now want to move that goal a little more only a few kilos but if i do will i lose my existing weight loss data? as the gradual loss of weight on a graph i find really motivating.

Thank you.

Hello @Speedbird, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see yo around. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've moved your post from the Versa board to the iOS board as it's more fitting for the inquiry at hand. Please note that when you edit your weight goal, the app will automatically change the starting date to the current date, which will make your progress revert to 0. Don't worry though, simply change the starting date to your original starting date by going to Account > Nutrition & Body > Weight:

After changing the Start Date, go back to the Dashboard and check that the start date shows correctly under the Weight tile. If not, go back to Account > Nutrition & Body > Weight and edit your Starting weight by deleting the one you have and if necessary typing the same one. You will see the goal changed and your progress was kept.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hi Marco

I did this a few weeks ago but the date kept reverting back to the current date. I even shut down my app and turned my phone off and on, and it persisted. The only way I could show my progress was to put in a manual higher weight - which annoys me because I’m a bit OCD about these things haha. Now I’m scared to go back into that section
