Does not allow me to log water and food or anything via mobile app. It’s like the screen is frozen.

It's great to welcome you, @SunsetRunner.
I just wanted to let you know that I have moved your post from the Charge 4 board to the iOS App board, since I think that here you will be able to see more related topics about the Fitbit app.
Now about the issue you are experiencing, is your Fitbit app updated? Have you tried to force quit the app? Are you able to sync?.
