Cannot log into iPhone app to setup Versa 3

Versa 3. All charged. Following set up instructions I have downloaded app to my iPhone 13. When I hit "Sign in with Google" and choose "Continue as Andy" the app spins for a bit and then the screen says "Something went wrong. Please try again." "Go back"
I've tried many times, including restarting phone, reinstalling, etc.

This problem is the same with an android phone.  Spent hours trying to fix it and  waiting for customer service to find out that the company nee about the problem.  Not a great way for a customer to experiment the second day of his ownership.  Would have been nice to get an email or some other communication that the problem was on the company's side. You can send me an email every day trying to get me to buy additional products but cannot email me about some outage and when it will be fixed? Consider returning it.

Thanks for responding. Yes it looks like it works today. Frustrating introduction to Fitbit indeed.
