I recently purchased a charge 2 and I am unable to receive text notifications on IPhone 6 running iOS 10. i had contacted customer service they told me all these tricks to do, nothing worked. They had me send mine back and sent me out a new one. The whole process took two weeks. I now have the new one they sent me and would you believe the same problem. Also jus as the other one it only got some of my call notifications. I am very frustrated as this is one of the reasons I upgraded from the charge hr. Is there any solution to getting these notifications to work?

I am under Settings/Notifications/Messages and I do not see an option to "Show in Notification Center". Only "Show on Lock Screen", "Show in History", and "Show as banners". When I first got my Fitbit I was able to see text messages pop up. Then after a few weeks, it stopped doing it.  Help?

Check your Fitbit
You can turn on/off notifications on the charge 2 with the side button. Press and Hold the button for a few seconds, then you'll see notifications on or off press again to make the switch!
Remember if you make any changes in the Fitbit app.. you’ll have to sync it before any changes will work.

Hello @emiliablanca, thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board the Fitbit Community. It's nice to see you as well @Gunner7, thanks for all your help. Smiley Happy

@emiliablanca, as @Gunner7 mentioned, please make sure your Charge 2 is not in the Do Not Disturb mode by pressing the button on your tracker for 2 seconds, a message and a vibration will let you know if the DND has been turned on or off.

Now, if you're still unable to receive Notifications, please reply to me with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried so I can determine what should we do next.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, please keep me posted!

I believe in an iOS update they changed what displays in the notification settings. I do not have "show in notification center" either but I have "show in history". Show in history was turned off on my messages settings. I turned it on and now I get the notifications on my Fitbit again (I actually have the versa).

Hello @Jfaw3520, I hope you're doing well, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community! Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have taken the time to post your insight about this situation. Indeed, when iOS was updated to version 11, the setting changed and is now "Show in History". I'm very glad to know that after you enabled this feature you were able to receive Notifications on your Versa!

My Charge 2 has also suddenly stopped receiving texts and phone call notifications. I adjusted my notifications - messaging settings on my iPhone. I even turned the phone off and then on. Still no texts on my Fitbit. ???  Thanks for any advice.

If notifications is on  both your Fitbit and phone.. look into your Fitbit app and make sure notifications is on and then sync your Fitbit with app and see if that works!

Hello @QuilterP, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. It's nice to see you too @Gunner7, I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

@QuilterP, I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. If you have already checked that the Settings on your phone are correct and as @Gunner7 mentioned, you have already checked that Notifications are turned on in the Fitbit app, I would like to suggest you to reset Notifications through the app by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app
  3. Tap on Account > Alta > Notifications
  4. When a pop-up with a "Bluetooth Pairing Required" message, tap on Set Up and continue.
  5. A new "Bluetooth Pairing Request" will appear, tap on Pair to continue
  6. Once in the Notifications menu, enable the ones you'd like to receive.

Additionally, make sure your Charge 2 is not currently in the Do Not Disturb mode. To check this, press down the button for 2 seconds, a vibration and a message will let you know if Notifications have been turned off or on.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Same here. My Fitbit charge had also stopped displaying text messages. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled app, sync, verified app, watch, iPhone settings are all turned on and still nothing. This is frustrating.
