All of a sudden my workouts are not syncing with my iPhone App. I dutifully start and stop my elliptical and weight workouts on the Fitbit and they have not been showing up on my app all week. Getting fed up with these glitches that pop up randomly. Have restarted both my iPhone and my Fitbit and still not working. Help please!
Best AnswerLet's see if your Charge 2 has synced with your iPhone at all recently to see if it a general sync problem, or something specific about workouts.
From phone app, click Account icon near top right, then right next to 'Charge 2', it will tell the last time it synced.
Best AnswerLast sync was 3 minutes ago. Everything else is syncing. It is my daily exercises that have not synced since Sunday. Steps, active minutes, everything else is fine. It is my workouts that are not showing up on my app.
Best AnswerCheck the dashboard at fitbit.com - click 'Dashboard' near top right of this page.
See if your workouts are showing there. Look in the 'recent exercise' tile, and also 'Log', 'Activities', 'Activity History'.
This will tell us whether the workouts are truly not getting to the main database, or if it is a problem in the phone app display.
Best AnswerYes they show up in the ‘Recent Exercise’ tile on Fitbit.com. I can also seem them in Activity History and Activities.
Best AnswerGood, so they are actually syncing. The fitbit.com dashboard is the one that truly corresponds to the actual data in the main fitbit database. I've been finding lately that some of the tiles on phone app are not getting displays updated reliably, though I have Android so not sure if same symptoms. Sometimes it takes clicking into the tile, going back to the main screen, then back into the same tile to get the history display to update; or else it just takes it a while to update display.
Best advice I have is to go into tile and back out and back in, and see if that updates. In any case can always check dashboard here to see accurate data, plus get better graphing options and detail on fitbit.com dashboard.
Best AnswerI have tried everything you suggested plus de-installing and re-installing the app. In a few days when I will have a chance I will call Fitbit support if it doesn’t sync by then.
Best AnswerBut in talking to support I suggest being careful of saying it doesn't sync. It is actually syncing, but just not displaying right. Not syncing would mean the data is not getting to the fitbit database, but it is. It might sound like trivial terminology difference but it might make a big difference in getting support to understand the issue.
Best AnswerGood advice. Thank you. I will update this thread in a few days when I have a chance to call
Best AnswerSo this morning I did my workouts and they are displaying properly on my iPhone dashboard. I’m just left with several days gap showing on the app but I can live with that. Seems some or all of the other steps (re-start iPhone; reinstall app; re-boot FitBit) worked. Thank you for the prompt and thoughtful responses.
