Charge 3 Bluetooth pairing dropping.

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Had Charge 3 for over a year, paired with iPhone and iPad with very few issues.

Suddenly, since installing iOS 13.4.1 a few days ago the Bluetooth pairing keeps dropping.
Pairing again may last just a few minutes, or all day, with no clear pattern yet of when and why the two devices lose each other. My wife has the same combination and the same problems, anyone else have the same issue and an idea of how to fix the problem? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Frizzy62.

I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 trackers keep dropping the Bluetooth connection after installing iOS 13.4.1. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am here to help. I would like to advise that our team is actively working on this issue, please keep an eye on the updates here. I appreciate your patience and understanding. Meanwhile, I recommend doing the following:

1. Go into your phone's Bluetooth menu.
2. Tap on the icon next to your Fitbit device.
3. Press Forget this device.
4. Re-open the Fitbit app and re-bond your device.

You can confirm the complete troubleshooting instructions in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Hi, i have 13.3.1 iOS and i had no problems until this evening. Have Charge 3.

Started walk track from watch, confirmed connection with phone. Took an hour walk. Hit finish on watch.  All data recorded on watch.

Went to app to log food.  App failed to sync device.  Came to boards, do not have 13.5 problem. Forgot device from bluetooth.  Deleted and reinstalled app and rebooted phone now a dozen times.  Bluetooth does not show Charge3 connected or otherwise.

I open app to reconnect Charge3, says it is already connected and data shows data before I left for walk. Any suggestions? If i forget device it will not sync unsynced data from watch...

Hi

Thanks for your reply, all well noted and understood. The procedure you give is exactly what we are doing.

The re-pairing works fine but then the link is lost shortly afterwards. I do seem to have had some success from re-installing the app only on my iPhone, not on my iPad, but that was just 36 hours ago. I get a “failed to synch” message, but the data transfers!!

We look forward to a proper solution soonest, do you have any idea of timescale?
