Charge 3 syncing issue

My charge 3 has stopped syncing so many times I can’t even tell you. I’ve read tons of threads about 

update the app - done x5

delete the app reinstall - done x5

delete from Bluetooth - done nth degree

reset Fitbit - done nth degree

do it right order - phone then fitbit

do it right order - Fitbit then phone 

set on all day sync - done 

I mean really were expected to do this stuff over and over and over and over

 

does anyone have experience with a better device???
