I belong to a closed group that has 22 members and we started in January to try and see if we could get our goal steps for the entire year . We have been posting our weekly totals and the odd photo of where we live as everyone is from across the USA, Canada , UK .
Last week our closed group screen went totally blank ! No one can see any posts on the group page .. the list of members and the group leaderboard is still available .The posts are seen in the feed category as being submitted to our group but do not show up there .
I for one have have not updated my Fitbit app in fear of acquiring the new dashboard but my iOS is the latest version and I have an iPhone X. Other members do have the new dashboard but have the same problem .. none of us have access to see posts in this closed group that we rely on for motivation and interaction with each other as we have been “walking “ with each other for years .
Is this a glitch with the closed group ? Any information would be appreciated .

Fitbit Update 6/14/19: We have removed the web-based activity groups from Fitbit.com. Our enhanced community features within the Fitbit mobile app provide users with a significantly better experience by allowing them to access fitness-related news and local events, connect and message with friends, discover public groups of like-minded individuals, and create their own private groups.
User-created groups on the Fitbit app also allow members to track their progress through group leaderboards and cheer each other on, just as they could through the web. The Fitbit mobile app is available for Android and iOS.
Sadly Fitbit has decided to remove all closed groups from the Dashboard. I hope I have found the answer/solution you were seeking. I know it’s disappointing. Please let me know if this answers your question.

@SunsetRunner Just to let you know, these closed groups are different from the open groups that were removed from the web interface. You can learn more about closed groups here.

My understanding is that the closed groups on the online “Dashboard” have been permanently done away with. (My conversations with others is that they are not all being closed at once but in chunks so that may be why some can still see the group and some can’t 🤷:female_sign:) I do know that “Private Groups” that are created on the Fitbit App are still up and running. If yours was a “Private Group” it should still be working. I will say this that when Fitbit started slamming out all theses updates lately it corrupted my Private Group on the Fitbit app where I was the administrator. Unfortunately I had to create a new Private Group because like you some of my members could see the old group fine and some could not. I just had to scream a bit, create a new one and send out invites all over again. I’m sorry your having this problem as well and I do hope I was able to help in some way. ♥️

Thanks for your input as well . I personally have tried powering off my phone but I have not updated or force closed the app as I am not sure I want to get the new dashboard that everyone seems to be disgruntled about at present .. I realize it will appear someday 🙂
I am actually one of 2 Administrators in the group but just this morning 2 girls with the newest Fitbit dashboard format have said they can’t see any posts and 2 of us with the old format can’t see them either .
To clarify .. our group name and motto are there to be seen . As well I can see the list of members and also the group leaderboard . What is the blank part is where our posts for the last 8 months had been .All those posts every week from 22 people are gone !
I indicated that we have set up the same group for next year and I can see all of that one with any posts that were made when people started accepting their invitations.
So I have 2 groups that I am one of 2 Admins in ..one shows the posts and the other is blank 🤷🏻:female_sign:
I do do not know what type phones everyone else has but I would think that on my own phone I should be able to see the 2 of them the same .

Yes both my groups are closed private groups and one of them is working an one is not .
As I mentioned to @LZeeW the group photo and motto are still there along with the member names and group leaderboard .
I am sorry you had to start your closed group over and was hoping after 8 months of posting we could somehow retrieve it ?
If I do a post and select my group as to where to send it .. the others can see it in the overall feed section of the Fitbit mobile app but they can’t see it in our closed group . So it is making it’s way into the Overall Fitbit scene but not when it is intended to be .

Mine was doing the same thing @BrigitteJFrel When someone would post you couldn’t see it in the closed group because it was totally blank but like you I could clearly see it in the main feeds. Like you I can also see my closed group, see my picture I assigned to it and our motto. But the posting area was completely blank for me and I would say about half the other members saw blank posting area while some for whatever reason could see the post. I tried everything (reinstall, force shut down...etc nothing worked. 🥺 just bit the bullet and created another one. I understand your frustration ♥️

You have been a great help on reassuring me that there is something wrong with the overall Fitbit experience.
I have had my tracker since 2013 and would really hate to think that every good thing I find is somehow eliminated.
I actually just this week had the main feed “unfreeze “ and I was able to see posts from lots of friends .. I couldn’t believe NO ONE had a post to share in all that time !
I am not marking any of our conversation as an acceptable solution as you and I should not have to bite the bullet and restart what we had working fine .

This is a problem for many. Call Fitbit to report the group issue: (877) 623-4997. The number is toll-free. I can see some posts in my own closed group if I receive a notification but cannot see recent posts to our actual community page. The last time I could see a new post was last Saturday. When I reinstalled the Fitbit app, our community board is completely blank for me now - I cannot see any posts. When I called Fitbit they said, the more people who call in and report this issue, the more quickly it can be resolved. Apparently it is a conflict between Fitbit and the new IOS IPhone software update. Please call to report so your group page can be fixed. Thank you!
