My custom max heart rate is going back to zero by itself, also custom min-max.

and then turns itself off.

tried restarting phone/Fitbit, logging out and deleting the app.

it is this way on another one too.

my max heart rate showing for a second and then go back to zero.. and then turns off.

Have you tried the temporary workaround I have mentioned in a few posts in this thread, the last being ‎09-06-2020 11:55 PDT?

It is working for nearly everyone that has tried it. I only recall one person that said it didn't.

Yes I did try that but it’s not an ideal solution and doesn’t look like it’s saved those settings to my phone. Really it just needs to be fixed rather than work arounds. My workout results are extremely important to me and since the most recent Fitbit update I’ve have nothing but problems. Thanks anyway!

This still isn't working. On the phone, it just keeps zeroing out. I've set it in the web dashboard and synced twice and it's not taking. This should be a pretty baseline feature that doesn't require workarounds. Why did I get a fitbit instead of an apple watch again?

Another user had to, instead of just syncing his device, log out of the app and log back in after making the change on the web. Then the Max HR change stuck for him.

Good luck, and welcome to the boards.

Hey, it finally took! Thanks @MrMarv . Appreciate the advice 🙂

I mean, it still begs the question why there isn't a working app, but that's a different issue 😉

Yes, editing the setpoints did seem to work. But I had to go to the web
site to make the changes and I could not access it from the Android app.

Thanks

Figured you might want to know that you need to keep on top of this even if you have override the Max HR in the method I have recommended in the past.

I was actually in the middle of a treadmill session when the app sync'd (all day sync performs a sync every 15 minutes) and my non-override zones went back into effect -

Beta Blocker Override Fat Burn of 86 went back to pre-override 97 with the other zones doing the same.

I stopped the treadmill, went back to the web dashboards settings page where it showed me using the default. Redid the override and saved the settings,

Checked the mobile app and it showed the "override zones" in effect.

Started a new treadmill session, got up into Fat Burn zone and the device showed under zone. **Oops** forgot to sync. Sync'd while still in the exercise session on the device and the zones started reporting correctly.

I wasn't surprised that it happened as the override has been reset by FitBit in the past - it's just annoying.

Just another day in the neighborhood - and another reminder that I'm glad I retired.

(long sigh)😞
For those who wish to keep battling with Fitbit, good luck.
I gave up.
My Garmin ForeRunner 645 is in the mail and should be here soon. I’m not looking forward to pushing buttons rather than using the convenient Ionic touchscreen, but I am looking forward to regaining control and having a fitness device on my wrist that reflects reality.
I have no idea what has gone wrong in the company’s software shop, but we have given them plenty of notice.

Do not blame you at all! I actually contacted fitbit, followed all their instructions and when I asked about the app issues basically got a politician’s answer! Apparently I need to turn my phone off seems to be the standard response now. Which I did do several times. I don’t think they can fix it and rather than just say that they fob you off. I hope you get on better with your new watch!

Just installed 3.30 and not fixed. Sticking with the artificial birthday workaround. Who says you can’t change your age!

LOL - I'm sure glad the web settings page Max HR override works for me - I don't want to pretend I'm one-hundred even if I feel like it some days. Sixty-eight is bad enough.

This is still an issue

Yes, RhondaBelle it is still an issue. You can set up custom heart rates on your computer app but not on the phone. Unfortunately, the custom heart rates only last a few days before you have to reset them. Fitbit is definitely aware of the issue. Hopefully a fix will come soon.

From your mouth to FitBit's ears, but...

It has been an issue for literally months, both on-again/off-again with the iOS app and on-again/off-again with the temporary web fix - a couple months ago even that wouldn't work.

Fingers crossed.

As a fiercely loyal customer since 2015 I have purchased more than half a dozen Fitbit trackers. Never again.  I will use the ones I have until they no longer work.  After which I will become a loyal Garmin customer.

I’ve had my Ionic since 2017. I already gave up. It’s sad to see something good self-destruct, but we need to get on with our lives.
Thanks to all of you for your attempts to provide helpful advice. I appreciate it. You’re a good bunch.
