My custom max heart rate is going back to zero by itself, also custom min-max.
and then turns itself off.
tried restarting phone/Fitbit, logging out and deleting the app.
it is this way on another one too.
my max heart rate showing for a second and then go back to zero.. and then turns off.
Anyone know the problem?

I have an iphone 11 with the latest ios 14 update. This was not a problem when I had my Samsung Galaxy A50. I can use the fitbit.com to change my max and custom range heart rate but occasionally it still reverts back and I lose my custom zone. I have to go back to fitbit.com to reset every time.

The issue remains. I have a charge 4 (shouldn’t matter though) and am using version 3.30 (990) in IOS (ver 14). I don’t have the app on a desktop.

Hey Liz I cannot edit my custom heart rate from the app or website.

I can verify what @vsolomon stated.
Another user in another thread was told by customer support that updates to the settings page happens once each evening.
Now, we all know that is a bunch of hooey - the settings page does not even recognize the "Submit" button click when changing the Max HR. I tried it by attempting to reduce my current override from 120 to 110 as a test. No "update successful" message and the value went right back to 120.
If the mobile app is still broken - I am afraid to test it in case my Max HR goes back to 152 - then the users really need the web Settings page to work.

So I set the custom maxHR again yesterday on the website as I deleted and added the device again due to other issues. Today this was indeed gone again. What the actual eff! This is past ridiculous Fitbit! This issue really, really needs a solution as I (and I suppose other people) don't want to change this every single day.

I have had the same issue since May 2020. Now I can’t even fix the custom max HR via the fitbit website. I can change it there but it is not translating to my app. I have a versa lite, iphone 8, software version 13.7, and I just updated the firmware and fitbit app. I also tried restarting my phone and shutting down and restarting the app.

I'd be interested in your experience with your new device and the actual model you purchased. The 18 hour numbers given seem to be worse case scenarios and while I have seen tips to better the battery life, I haven't seen real life examples.
I don't expect 12-16 percent a day battery usage which extends to six days on one charge I get on my Versa 2, but if I can see only 25 - 30 percent instead of 100, I may make the move depending on how many apps I need to interface with Apple Health to get the same data I do with the FitBit mobile app.
If you can see your way, a comparison from a former FitBit user would be much appreciated.
Good luck to you and here's hoping my post doesn't get pulled.

Thanks! I know when I’m pushing my max without a watch, but it would be great if the functionality was restored.

Any idea when the functionality will be restored? It’s a long time for this bug to remain unsolved.

Remember when I said that the FitBit device/app combination was great when both sides worked. It still appears to be that.
myFitnessSync (Apple Health to FitBit app) looks like something that would allow someone to use the FitBit app for foods while syncing Watch data and still have FitBit history and an app that is comfortable to use.
Not sure about the validity of the calorie burn data and it still looks a little weak while getting a 4.1 rating.
Google is my friend - looking for more options.
Good luck in your search.

I still have - had - this issue on my new Fitbit charge 4. Delivered it back to the shop because of a persistent white bright horisontal line across the screen. Also, there is a gap between the device and the short end of the strap. According to the clerk in the shop where I returned the device, there is a one to three week waiting before any resolution is provided.
There are just too many quality issues.
They would perhaps be acceptable if there was a "on demand, no questions asked" return/replacement policy in place. At least in Norway it is not. I am unhappy about both the product and the service.

LizzyFitbit, It has been 3 weeks since you updated us that your team is working to solve this issue. Any update? It is an annoying bug, not the quality I would expect from Fitbit...

Hmm, for me this is still a problem... I have the new Fitbit Sense and it still doesn't work on my iPhone 8 (13.6.1)... As I usually use it during sports I really want to know in which zone I trained. I tried to fix it in the desktop app and it works for a couple of seconds, but when I check it on the app it doesn't work.
And it has been the same situations for a couple of months now, I really hope this can be fixed. 😃
