Distance and map not showing on Bike exercise through connected GPS

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Recently using  bike exercise and the fit bit wont allow mileage to be recorded. Shows as synced with iphone and will record exercise but not route taken or distance. Only seems to have happened in the last few weeks as never a problem previously. Says check fit bit app but shows heartbeat and bluetooth shows connected on phone as well as fit bit app.

No amount of resetting fit bit and turning the iphone on or off helps. Today then decided to work half way through a long bike ride. Really annoying as purchased mainly for this function.

Hello @Steveh2, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy

Which tracker are you currently using?  Please keep in mind that all GPS devices, whether your phone or your tracker connected to your phone, require a direct path to these satellites in order to receive their radio transmissions. If the signal is being blocked—either because you're underground, near many tall buildings, or as a result of atmospheric effects—GPS will not work.

If you haven't already done so, please check the following three GPS-related settings on your iOS device:

1. Make sure your device can track your activity when you're out of wi-fi range. To do so, tap Settings > Cellular and make sure Cellular Data is on.
2. Make sure the app can track GPS when your device is locked. To do so, tap Settings > General > Background App Refresh and make sure it's on for both the phone and Fitbit specifically.
3. Make sure your device is able to identify your location. To do so, tap Settings > Privacy > Location Services and make sure it's on for both the phone and Fitbit specifically.

I hope this can be helpful, if after checking this you're still getting the same message, please feel free to reply, I'll be happy to continue helping you. Smiley Wink

Hi, yes All if those settings are correct. I’ve always had them set in this way. As I mentioned it eventually connected after further resets of the blaze.

I have this issue also with my versa 3.  it maps my bike ride but won't show the route on the App on tablet of phone but when I upload the data to another app the data works.

Issue another the fitbit app I think.

@SentMessages   You added on to a very old thread and you are describing a new and different issue.  If your map won't load on your mobile app, please start a new thread in this forum..  Your Versa 3 has all the data, because it has built in GPS.  This certainly sounds like a Fitbit app issue.  Please include your phone model, its OS, and the Fitbit app version you use.  This will help.  Have you tried typical troubleshooting like logging out then restarting your phone?  Or deleting then re-downloading the Fitbit app?
