Exercise day count incorrect

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The number of exercise days for this week is incorrect. Yesterday it showed that I had six exercise days and today after completing an exercise session when the exercise showed up on the home screen, the number of exercise days did not increase 27. I reviewed the exercise day information and saw that Sunday’s Sessions had been removed. I thought this problem had been corrected but it appears it is still an issue. I first reported problems with exercise days in September 2023. I am using an iPhone SE third generation running iOS version 17.4.1 and Fitbit current version , 4.16.

I just looked at exercise minutes and saw something that is totally baffling. At 7:16 it shows that I spent 25 minutes of exercise classified as outdoor bike. At the same time it showed 26 minutes of vigorous activity. It also showed one exercise minute in moderate again at 7:16. This is not the first time this is happened and at the same time it showed no exercise days. When I close active minutes days did update and I then went back to review zone minutes and found that the same information was there three different records of exercise all at 7:16.  I am a blind user and I have dictated this on my iPhone and hope that you will be able to understand my ramblings.

It is Friday and I have completed six of seven days of exercise for this week. However, exercise days shows as five, and when I clicked on the tile and scroll down, I saw that the exercise I had completed on Sunday had been removed. I have again reported this to Fitbit customer care. I have dictated this on my iPhone SE third generation running 17.5 and I am using an Fitbit charge five running for 17.

It is Saturday and when I woke up, I had six exercise days recorded. After two exercise sessions the number of exercise days decreased to five. I have identified the problem and have found it to be that Fitbit only allows for 20 exercise sessions in a week. After reaching 20 exercise sessions every exercise session that is added to the weeks total removes an exercise session from the beginning of the week. So upon reaching 20 exercise sessions and exceeding it by the number of sessions in the last day on the screen and having done more  Than will say exercise sessions on Sunday exercise days is then reduced. I have dictated this on my iPhone and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings at least now. I understand why I am losing exercise days and that Fitbit has failed to take into consideration that people might  Exercise more than 20 times in a seven day.

I just compared exercise days with zone minutes. On the home screen it showed me that I had five exercise days and not the seven I expected. I opened exercise days and started reviewing the information and noted that it now showed exercise completed for all seven days and stated that I had seven days of exercise. When I closed the screen and went back to the home screen, it showed that I had seven exercise days this week. I can’t explain it. I don’t know why for the past couple of days it listed the maximum number of days with exercises 20 and just now it showed I had 26 exercise sessions this week , and not the 20 I had been seeing over the past couple of days.

Surprise, surprise surprise exclamation exclamation exclamation the total days has changed again it is no longer seven and displaying 26 exercise. It has returned to five exercise days and 20 exercise periods. I can’t believe it when I started this morning. It had five days and later it had six days and later it had five days and later it had seven days and now it has returned back to five. I have dictated this on my iPhone and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings. I am waiting and nervous anticipation to see what the app will do next????

Today I was able to observe the exercise days go from six this morning to seven and back to six. I was able to track exercise sessions and noted that upon reaching 20 exercise sessions for the week and then exceeding it. The total number of exercise sessions remained 20, but the oldest exercise session on Sunday was deleted after additional exercise sessions were completed and the total remain 20. I was able to see total exercise days decrease from 7 to 6. I have determined that the problem is the number of exercise sessions that can be recorded within a one week period and that , it needs to be increased to at least 30. Unrestricted would be better, but if there is a forest limitation, I would say 30 would be the minimum not the 20 that now exists. I have dictated this on my iPhone and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings.

this week I updated to Fitbit version 4.18 in hopes that the problem with exercise days might have been corrected. I can tell you that today when I woke up I had five exercise days and that after completing one exercise session, my total increased to six exercise days. after additional exercise sessions the count on exercise days decreased back to five. The total exercise sessions continues to be maxed out at 20 exercise sessions. The exercise sessions that were recorded for Sunday have all been removed. I have dictated this on my iPhone and hope that it’s some  point the problem with exercise days totals will be corrected to reflect both exercise and exercise days because there is no correlation between active zone minutes and exercise days.

this morning after completing my first exercise session, the total exercise days should have been seven. However, when I woke up the score for exercise days was five and after completing my first exercise session it moved up to six exercise days. Since then, I have watched it go from six exercise days to five exercise days to three exercise days and finally, it has stopped at three exercise days as I have decided not to do any more exercise sessions. I have dictated this on my iPhone and hope that you will be able to understand my ramblings. I am using an iPhone SE third generation version 17.5.1 and Fitbit version four dot 18 the most recent version available. I am a blind user and rely on the Fitbit application on my iPhone, using Apple’s voiceover screen reading software.

This morning, my total exercise days was six and 30 sessions. I tapped on exercise days to confirm and saw that my total exercise days was three and 20 sessions. After completing exercise sessions, the numbers changed to seven days and 30 sessions and at other times, showed four days and 20 sessions. as additional exercise sessions have been added the seven exercise days. Total sessions has remained at 30 and at other times the exercise days total was reverted back to four and 20 sessions. At one time I used the exercise days metric as a motivational tool. Now, I use the exercise metrics  as entertainment. I have dictated this on my iPhone and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings. I am using the most recent versions of the Fitbit app and iOS on my iPhone SE third generation. I have reported my issues with exercise days to Google disability support  Because Fitbit does not offer disability support for people who are blind or otherwise disabled.

I have updated to Fitbit version 4.19. This morning I had six exercise days and after my first exercise session, it showed seven exercise days. After reaching seven exercise days and more exercise sessions I have finished the day with five exercise days and a total of 20 exercise sessions, which is below the actual number. Last Sunday and Monday sessions have been deleted.

I recently updated to Fitbit version 4.20. The problem with correct exercise discount continues to be an issue. I have reported this to Fitbit. Customer care in hopes that it would be forwarded to someone who can do something about the problem. Today I have seen exercise days Counted as three, five, six, and seven exercise days. I have seen exercise sessions reported as 20, 24, 23, and 33. I have seen where exercises for Sunday Monday Tuesday and Wednesday have been removed and then seen them put back in the listing.  Right now exercise sessions for Thursday are being deleted as I complete additional exercise sessions. I am using an iPhone SE third generation and again running Fitbit version 420. I am using iOS version 17.5.1 at Apple voice screen reading software in order to retrieve the information . I am a blind user and have dictated this on my iPhone and hope you will be able to understand the ramblings.

Today I completed seven days of exercise and Fitbit is reporting three exercise days for this week. I also looked at last weeks final total for exercise days and Fitbit reported the total as two yet I had completed all seven days. I am providing this information so that the Fitbit/Google development team will know of my experience. If it would be helpful for them to speak with me, I am available upon their request. I am a blind user using Apple’s voiceover screen reading software, and I have dictated this and hope that you will be able to understand my ramblings.

I had the same problem for the last two weeks. So far, this week has been fine, but when I click on the two prior weeks, the "7" days flashes on first entering that page, but then quickly reverts back to the erroneous day count. Also, when I check the "month" it shows that I worked out for all of the correct days. But then if I click to see the exercises of the individual weeks, there are missing days on the days that have been affected by this bug.
I reported it also: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/My-first-day-of-exercise-keeps-disappearing-from-the-app-and...

I just decided to test it again. After working OK all week, now it is not working again. It deleted my Sunday workout again. But not as soon as I today’s work out. I used the back arrows to see the weeks before. They were still missing days. Then when I got to this week by going forward with the arrows, Sunday was missing for this week.  So I closed and opened the app again,  but Sunday is still missing.

Tonight, when I open the app it shows seven days, but about two seconds later it changes to just six days without Sunday.

It does the same thing on the other weeks also. There is a few seconds delay between it showing the correct information and then flipping to the incorrect information.

I reported the problem, but there has been absolutely no response.
Maybe my comment needs to have votes in order for them to respond.

Here is the title under product feedback: Exercise days disappearing.

I tried to put the link here, but it won’t let me put the link.

This week everything was looking fine until Saturday when Sunday disappeared.

But if I use the back arrows on the “Week” setting and then return to the current week, then it would show seven days.

I reported the problem as: "Exercise days disappearing" under "Product Feedback".

There has been no response to that post about any action to repair the problem.

Please check out the post "Exercise days disappearing" under product feedback.
Also, please add comments and "votes" at the post under product feedback.

Maybe that way we will get some response to the problem.

@Ddonna Have you tried changing the week to run from Monday-Sunday instead of Sunday-Saturday?

In the app, tap on your profile photo in the right hand corner, then tap Fitbit Settings, then tap Date, time & units, and then on Start week on select Monday.

If Fitbit only allows for 20 exercise sessions in any week which it appears to be the fact it should not make a difference whether you start the week on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The issue as far as I have been able to observe relates to the Observation that upon completing 20 exercise sessions every session after that is deleted starting with Sunday or the first day of the week that has been chosen. I have also noted that on some occasions it has retrieved previous day information and added it to the exercise days and then deleted exercise day  Information from other days in the week. I am hoping that Fitbit version in 4.22 will correct this problem by adding in the ability to have more than 20 exercise sessions within one week. Period. Also, version 4.22 has not corrected prior inaccuracies, and exercise day totals . I am a blind user and have dictated this on my iPhone and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings. I am using an iPhone SE third generation iOS version 17.5.1 and Fitbit version 4.22. I use Apple screen reading software in order to get information  From the Fitbit screens.
