I walk about 4-5 miles every day. The app always displayed a graph indicating time in each zone. I cannot post a picture of the graph because it is now missing from all my walks. The app has not updated, where did it go? I updated to charge 6 one month ago from charge 4, I noticed at that time the graphs were way out of whack from my charge 4 data with regards to time spent in each zone, previously most time was in fat burning zone, having reached it about 5 minutes into my walk. Now, sometimes, I skip fat burning entirely and seem to jump into max heart rate zone, which makes no sense as I only walking about 2 miles per hour.

@Silvergrizz   Do you use an Android or iPhone?  You are describing an app issue.  Your post can get moved to a better fit forum where it can get the attention it deserves.

Fitbit updated the 'Activity' section of the app on the iphone today.  The format is horrible in my opinion and I much prefer the prior format.  But most importantly, it only displays the minutes for an activity such as a run and not the seconds, i.e. if you run 30 minutes and 28 seconds it only says that you ran 30 minutes.  This is bad since athletes and runners want to know down to the second how long they ran.  This is especially true when running training intervals or a 5k or 10k race.  I want to know my exact time down to the second.  I bought my fitbit watch solely for the purpose of tracking my data when I run.  So to not have how long I ran down to the second, and only rounded up to the minute, is totally worthless and I would not otherwise buy another fitbit watch.  Every runner and athlete I have spoken to today completely agrees.  And I don't know why Fitbit can't simply include the seconds in the 'Duration' of a Run on the app, it can't be that difficult.  Hopefully they fix this or revert back to the old format or else they are going to lose a lot customers who are athletes and runners.  Simply makes no sense.

Agree 100%. I bought a fitbit for well over £100 recently and have been monitoring my performance so far using minutes and seconds - this was the main reason I bought the tracker in the first place

The minutes also appear to only round down. Today I ran 29 mins, 58 seconds and it counted as 29 mins. 29 mins is my target currently, so tracking times in the app is now useless

There are dozens of performance data points visible in the app - the idea that seconds are not available seems ridiculous!

I have an iphone

Why are all of the exercise data, like my heart rate zones, heart rate graph, and other actually helpful data, gone with the recent update? The only remaining information is the information I enter when logging an exercise, which is useless!

I have exactly the same thing. What’s the point of paying for premium when you remove data rather than refining and adding to it. I’ve used Fitbit since 2016 and always had this crucial data and now you take it away? Bring it back or there’s no point in me keeping this device, let alone paying for premium service.

Same thing here, iPhone. Just started today. I rely on those graphs to report my exercise to my cardiologist. Where did they go!?

I’m really annoyed by this. I have been using a Fitbit for years but this has annoyed me enough to consider an Apple Watch.

Agree - they took away actual useful information and replaced it with generic “zone minutes” which is basically useless.

100% agree!

The new one is awful. How awful? I've been a Fitbit user since 2015, and this is the first time I am posting. The main reason I've stayed with Fitbit this long is because I liked the app.

I still have v4.02 of the app on my old phone, and I had to go back to check that I wasn't using the app wrong on my new phone.

Nop, on the new phone, it's got v4.04 of the app (you find the version in Settings/Help and support), and it's got the new terrible exercise app.

On my old phone, with app v4.02, it's got the old exercise app with the heart rate graph, the cal/minute, the HR zones, etc, you know, ALL THE USEFUL STUFF!

Fitbit, are you listening?? Put the old exercise app back!

I don’t think anyone at Google know what fitness is. They have removed the most important features.

I can see my heartrate and pulse zone for every excercise, but not for outdoor running. Then the app just freeze When showing very little information, and I can’t even go back. I need to close the app and start over again, but I still can’t see my heartrate, puls zones or map.

This must be a major bug, surely. New at revision 4.04.  4.03 on my iPad is still OK. None of the data that was available on a map of your exercise is available. Absolutely useless!!!

Same problem. I have a Versa 3 on IOS. It just started doing this in the last few days.

Installed the Fitbit app on an Android tablet, just to see if it was also messed with. No, the graphs are still there, thankfully, but the colors are very muted, so that it's almost impossible to discern the difference between zones on the graphs. Dumb, Google!  Please fix this disaster, ASAP!

Best Answer

Well I’m glad it’s not just me annoyed by this change. Completely agree with all comments I hate the new exercise display & want the old way back so I can see my heart rate zones etc. If it isn’t broken then please don’t try and “fix it”

I never normally post on things like this but I’m hopeful all our comments will be read and we can get this reverted back. Fingers crossed

Same issue here. And I am using Fitbit App 4.04 for iOS.

@LizzyFitbit Can we report this to the fitbit support? I believe we shouldn't expect this kind of stability from either Fitbit or Google.

The heart rate and time in each zone section simply appears randomly. If you try it a couple of times and wait for long enough, they might appear.

I also have a Run which the map never appears.

I have the exact same issue with my iPhone. For years, I’ve been able to see a graph of my exercise activity showing all the different zones of exertion. Now I don’t get a graph at all.

Absolutely ridiculous. Are we going to hear anything from Fitbit????
