Exercise logs time format changes after syncing

I have been doing more walking and have finally exceeded 24 hours in one week. I would like to know why after completion of 24 hours of walking during a week, the format changes from hours and minutes to days and hours? If I wish to check my daily average, I have to convert days to hours and add in the hours and then do the conversion. I am confident that when I see days in hours that the actual hours is a value that has been either rounded up or rounded down. The rounding error increases the in accuracy of calculating out average daily  exercise time. Again, does anybody know why at 24 hours the format changes from minutes and hours to days and hours???

Thank you for an honest answer. Although the answer is not helpful, it does it at least explain my experience with Fitbit. Over the time I have been a Fitbit user I have consistently lost the availability to get information on the iOS app. I have been frustrated by formatting issues. Issues that make the iOS app a challenge. Back in September 2021 they removed the edit button. Distance is Joan in whole numbers, showing one decimal point and showing two decimal points. Distance shown with one decimal point is sometimes interpreted as a day like August 7 which would be 8 miles and 7/10. Hourly information is not available. Sleep percentages in zone are often incomplete and that they only show between one and three zones most of the time. Heart rate and heart rate zone number and description are no longer available to the blind using the voiceover screen reading software. This happened to updates ago and it is just another example of information being taken away from blind users. Oxygen variation is not available to the blind user, and if other information is available below the oxygen saturation in graph form that two is not available. I can go on and on, but no one wishes to speak with me or other blind users, who have offered to make themselves available to software developers or other interested parties.

The attachment points on my Fitbit charge, four broke, and I am now wearing it in my sock. As I have seen in the community, it appears to happen in the chest after 18 months. Being blind, and on a fixed income, I cannot afford to keep replacing products that die after 18 months because of design. Design issues. I will continue to use the charge for during the day placed in my sock and my charge two at night to get sleep numbers. It is so frustrating to think that I will have to pay full price to receive less than sighted members of the Fitbit community, and to know that based on past experience , I will probably continue to lose more information or find it more difficult to interpret. I will start saving up for a new tractor hopefully a charge five and maybe by then they will have figured out how I can switch between trackers without having to go through a Coverson process . An advocate for the Massachusetts Association of the blind helped me to find the Microsoft seeing AI iOS application. I have used it a couple of times to read the code so that I can reinstall the Fitbit software when it has been necessary to delete and reinstall. This way, I do not have to wait for my daughter or grandchildren to visit in order to get assistance. Fitbit does not have a Disability Support team that can’t assist people like me or people with other disabilities and I find it hard to believe that a google company would have Would not have a Disability Support team when Google does have a Disability Support team to work with people like me and others with different types of disabilities.

I have dictated this on my iPhone, and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings. I will continue to advocate in this forum for improvements for the blind and reading disabled. Again, I want to thank you for giving me an honest answer as a member of the community council.

@Podunk I fully understand your answer and your point of view. I do understand the software is very poor for blind users. Unfortunately considering current Fitbit direction, I do not think this will improve soon, I am sorry to say.

I am not very knowledgeable about which fitness tracker is better for blind people, maybe some support association could help you there ?

I have never seen the screen on my tractor the charge two or the charge for. I have never seen the screen on my iPhone or my iPad. Because I cannot see the screen. All I need is a good tracker and I am considering to charge five because I have family members who use Fitbit and I am hoping that the new platform will allow for fall detection For my safety when I walk outside in unfamiliar areas. I rely on the iOS app to get my information while I walk. I swiped back-and-forth between Feels to check how many steps, calories, zone minutes and distance. I have tried using the Fitbit website dashboard Only to be frustrated to no end. It requires multiple swipes and is not nearly as easy to use as the iOS application. Apple has developed a wonderful software program, voiceover, and I use it as my screen reader.

Prior to my retirement, I was responsible for analyzing and reporting on physical outcomes and medical outcomes in a rehabilitation setting. I develop software and systems for the collection and analysis of the information and was a direct report to the senior management team. I worked with other facilities in the region in creating reports and analyzing data for the medical and rehabilitation outcomes and facility safety and outcome management. In analyzing data for the national reporting service, I was able to identify a systemic failure that occurred in multiple reports. This failure in the calculation had been unnoticed by numerous facilities Over more than a decade. My concerns are not made out of ignorance, but out of experience. If I had produced a product like this, and circulated it within the rehab organization, I would have been severely reprimanded at the least, reassigned or made redundant.

Update: iOS version 3.75 has not changed how exercise days are reported. As stated above, it starts using hours and minutes to measure time and exercise sounds for exercise days and upon reaching 24 hours switch is two days and hours. I still don’t understand why, upon reaching 24 hours the format would change and the ability to average hours in minutes for the current week would be made more difficult. Days plus rounded off hours seems absurd when compared to hours plus minutes. I have dictated this on my iPhone.
