Hi all,
I’m having trouble using my Fitbit app whilst on mobile data. I’m currently using a charge 2 watch, linked to an iPhone XS with up to date apps and phone.
So far I’ve tried several troubleshooting methods including logging in and out of the app, forgetting the device on Bluetooth, resetting mobile data & resetting my phone.
Does anyone one have any suggestions to resolve the issue?

Hi, @Leighton343 , could you let us know which aspects of the app are not working on mobile data?
Can you confirm that the app works as expected when you are on wifi?
Basically the Fitbit should not care (for most processes) whether you are using mobile or wifi data. However, when you are out and about, especially in a crowded area, multiple Bluetooth signals from many devices can sometimes interfere with establishing a connection between your Fitbit and your phone. Could that be an issue?

Hi Julia,
The issue I’m having is that my device is unable to sync to my mobile using mobile data. Once connected to WIFI there aren’t any issues, also no other app on my phone has this issue when using mobile data.
Today I’ve tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the app, since I’m currently now using mobile data, I’m not even able to log into the app.

Hi, @Leighton343 , usually sync problems are due to Bluetooth issues and not mobile data related as long as you have a good data connection.
I certainly have never heard of not even being able to log in using mobile data! What happens when you try to log in? Does it just spin and spin?
Hopefully someone else will have some thoughts about this, but, as always, as much information as you can provide about what is happening will help someone to get to the bottom of it...

Hi Julia,
When logging in I have the message ‘Failed to log in. Sorry you need an internet connection to log in’
When on the app, from what I remember it says ‘you need an internet connection to sync this device’
My Bluetooth works for other devices and also works when connected to WIFI.
