Sorry to here this @Skottee7471 may idk which phone your Fitbit app is on?

Best Answer

I have the AltaHR and the app running on an iPhone9.

Since the update my voice cues are set for 1 mile.

Before the  update I had them set for .5 mile. The update set them to 1 mile. When I try to set them back the app crashes and nothing changes.

I can hear them at the mile marks so volume etc settings on the phone are not the problem.

Thanks in advance for helping me with this.

I have an AltaHR and iPhone as well and I'm having the same issue.  I saw another string of messages stating the same with any half mile increment. I hope it gets resolved quickly!

My phone is having this same problem since the update. Iphone XR

Same issue on the Charge 3 very annoying. Hope they see these posts and fix it quickly.

The latest update reset my exercise cues setting to every 1 mile. When I try and set it back to every 1/2 mile, the Fitbit app errors out and quits to the iOS home screen.

Hi @SunsetRunner. It's nice to see you here. I'm sorry for my delayed response.

Thanks for sharing how the Fitbit app is currently working. This sounds strange, and I'll help you out with this. Just to clarify, do you mean the cues that are under "Profile picture > Fitbit device > Exercise shortcuts"? Or the voice cues under "Profile icon > Exercise Tracking"? If you mean that the Fitbit app was updated to the latest version, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  3. Log back into the Fitbit app.
  4. Tap on the Profile icon and try editing the cues one more time.

Keep me posted.

I am trying to change the exercise tracking frequency in the App from the default 1.0 mile to .5 mile. Every time I change it, the App crashes. I am running IOS 12.4 on my iPhone 6S.

ive been having this same issue, with a charge 2 on an iphone xr since the update.

tried your steps and it didn’t fix. 😞

any other tips?

YES! Same issue! This is such a problem for me because I do an out and back run and need the .5 increment to know when to turn around. It doesn’t crash when I change it to anything else but the .5 cue too. Please fix!

It’s the voice cues under exercise and track. You can select the type of exercise, the cues you want to hear, and turn music control off and on. Under cues you can turn on play during exercise, cues you want to hear, frequency, and volumn. If you select frequency to every 0.5 mi, and then hit back, the Fitbit App errors out to the iPad home screen. I’m sure this is a bug that was introduced with the latest update.

That fix didn’t work, it’s clearly a bug in the 3.3 app update.

From the home screen, it’s the Track Your Exercise tab, then the stopwatch in the top right corner, then Cues. Changing it to .5 or 1.5 miles causes the app to freeze and reset. In the previous app versions both .5 and 1.5 worked. In fact, I had it set to .5 in the previous version but 3.3 changed it to 1.0, and trying to change it back to .5 is how I found this 3.3 bug.

Best Answer

Since the 8/9/19 update of the Fitbit app, my .5 mile exercise voice cue will not work,

If I try to set it for .5 miles, the app aborts.

Let me help you with your app settings. Try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Since you all are mentioning problems with the iOS, I've moved this thread out of the Versa Hardware support.
