3/4" on each side unused. Disregard the lack of connection. The Fitbit app used to take the full screen of my IPad Air (in 2x) until I upgraded IOS to 12.0.1 yesterday. Now there is 3/4" on both sides of the app window that is not used. I am now having trouble reading the Fitbit display because of this. If I tap the arrows in the lower left of the display, the FB app gets even smaller. I find this unacceptable and incompatible with IOS 12.

@FBNan Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear that your Fitbit app shows smaller after you updated your iPads OS. Try logging out from the app, restart your iPad and then log back in. Also make sure you have the app up to date.
I also moved your post to the correct board.
Let me know how it goes!

Hi @FBNan and Fitbit! I have the same problem on slightly different hardware. I have a 9.7" iPad Pro Model MM192LL/A running the latest iOS 12.0.1. But in my case, it was ever since my Fitbit app got updated to 280 (794) on Oct 2nd, it now comes up smaller (4 1/8” x 7 3/8”) than my display size (5 7/8” x 7 3/4”). Like FBNan, clicking on the 2 arrows in the corner only makes it tinier. One interesting note: before the Fitbit app update, the app would *always* come up too small, but then I could make it bigger to fit the screen.
Of course then and now, the app is always in vertical (portrait) mode when it should be in horizontal (landscape) mode since it is sitting on its side attached to a keyboard - but that is a different issue.
UPDATE:
@AlvaroFitbit, I have also restarted my iPad, which makes no difference to the app size behavior.
UPDATE 2:
Hi @AlvaroFitbit, Since I noticed the problem after my Fitbit app was updated to 2.80 (794) on my iOS device, I came to this board (the iOS app board). Which board should it be?
I can also tell that the Fitbit program isn't completely following the iOS guidelines.
Another indication of this is that the Fitbit app does not behave as all other apps do on the iPad in the following way:
When any app is up on the iPad, the user can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to make that app window go away and then you’re back at the home screen (so then you can bring up a different application or do whatever else). But the Fitbit app on the iPad does not allow this.
All others apps do - as they should according to guideline or rule or whatever. There is something that the apps do, like “register” for the “swipe up event notification”, so it can be notified when that happens so it can do the appropriate thing, such as exit.
As @FBNan says, the landscape/portrait mode problem is also a Fitbit app problem of not following Apple iOS guidelines or rules: There is something like a "register" for the "screen orientation change event notification", so the app can be notified when the change happens so it can do the appropriate thing, such as display in the other direction.
It appears the Fitbit programmer is not aware of these things.
Does Fitbit have some of these varied devices available for testing on?

Obviously, it's only optimised for an iPhone. Fitbit need to update. It has always been like this.
