Fitbit app doesn't appear within location settings

I am using iPhone XR with iOS 13.2.3 and also FitBit Charge 3.

I know that if I need to allow the watch to show the weather information, I have to allow Fitbit app access to my location information.

however, I cannot Find Fitbit app under the Location Service option, path: setting > privacy > location service.

and I am not able to turn on the location service according to this path as there is no such option: setting > Fitbit

i am reinstall the app for several times and also reboot my iPhone , but the problem still exist.

problem solved,

you can open the Fitbit app

choose Today

Scroll down and find the exercise Row

press the “+“ on the right

then. It will pop up a window and ask for your permission to access GPS Location.

after that you can setup in iPhone’ s own setting app as usual

Hi @Staciyi. Welcome to the Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for taking the time to troubleshoot this matter prior posting. Nice way to start! It's odd that the app isn't appearing in the privacy > location screen and since the steps didn't work, please take a screenshot of the location services settings where the Fitbit app should be listed. This will help me to further investigate. For instructions to attach a picture, check this post.

Keep me posted.

  • Same issue here on iPhone XS Max.  OS is 13.2.3 (about to be 13.3).  Fitbit app isn’t listed under location services and when going to the settings panel for Fitbit it doesn’t show location services.  Reinstalled twice and restarted phone to no avail.

Fitbit app will not show under location services until you go into the Fitbit app, pick a new exercise, and when iOS asks to allow GPS tracking, you have to click yes, BEFORE it Fitbit app shows in location services. Then once it shows where it should under location services you can select always allow.

Hi @Watsonkris. Welcome on board! It's great to see a new face around and I'm sorry for my delayed response.

I appreciate you for sharing this helpful tip to our Community members. You're right, once you go to the Fitbit app and get the prompt to turn on location services, the Fitbit app will appear within the location settings. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to let me know.

Hope to see you around more often!
