A new FitBit App interface from November 2023 on the Apple Iphone freezes up continuously -every few minutes - even after rebooting the phone !
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
App freezes when I open an activity. This has been ongoing since the new app was released. The old version also provided easy access to data that I want to review after a long run. Trying to be patient but please fix the app. I have owned a Charge 2, 4, 5 and now a 6. If the app doesn’t get fixed I’ll need to be done with Fitbits.

Best AnswerHard to think this is an Apple issue. I’ve been using the app on iPhone for years. The second that Fitbit revamped the app the issues started. The Google engineers did a poor job on the release of the new app.

Best AnswerI am having the same issue with the exercise details freeze and the maps don’t load or rarely do but then freeze. I really liked the old version of the app. Nothing about the new app except the customization of the header data is presented as well as the last app. It was also much more bug free.

Thank you for joining this thread and explaining the issue you're experiencing with the new Fitbit app. I understand your point of view and I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We're always looking for ways to improve our products and your feedback is a valuable part of that process.
In regards to the Fitbit app, as I mentioned before, the issue has been escalated to our team and they're currently working on it. I don't have any new information at this time, but I will update this thread as soon as I have it.
It happens to me when using the EXERCISE tile. When I click on a recent activity, it will slowly load the map after 3-4 seconds at the top and the heart rate information at the bottom will be cut off. I can see the very edge of the heart rate information, but cannot scroll down to see it, as the whole page (and app) have frozen.

Best AnswerI was using Fitbit for a year and a half with no problem. Since google sabotaged the app, it’s been months of dealing with having to open it 8 to 10 times just to get the app to open. Today somehow it’s even worse - I had to open it 29 times before it worked this morning, and this evening I am trying again and just gave up - there’s no end. Are you aware your app has not been working for months?? What is going on? Why is this problem seemingly insurmountable?
Can we get an ETA, or should we turn this board into a discussion about better brands of fitness tracker products?

Good news. The issue with the app freezing when checking the exercise tile should be solved on the new app update (v4.20)
If possible try updating the app to the newest version.
