Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the App store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/22
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

@Lsweet, thanks for getting, as well for your comments. Our team keeps reviewing the feedback posted in the Community Posts, and while we don't have an option to return to the previous update, your comments will not go unnoticed. If you experience any difficulty with the Fitbit app, let me know.
@Cgbell, @Kiki921, @Tanya-, @BosHouse2242, @sully1311, @juzzy, @gvinnola and @Jgrffnyc, our team released the new app to receive feedback from our users, and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about the new dashboard. I'm sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused. While there isn't an option to revert to the previous update, we'll make sure to continue working and improving our services based on the Community posts.
@margon, thanks for letting me know that your tiles have all disappeared. If you've not done so, please check this help article that explains how to add a tile on your dashboard. If after trying that the tiles still don't appear, feel free to let me know.
@Sherryblue, thanks for bringing this to my attention. If you have the Ionic or Versa, you can set alarms within their settings. If you have a different device, from the Fitbit app tap on the Account icon > Fitbit device image > Silent Alarms. Make sure to sync so the changes can be saved.
@SunsetRunner and @poop1234, thanks for joining the conversation. As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout, but be sure that you'll receive it later on.
Keep me posted.

How can I get the old icon back where I can see how much kcal I will have burned at the end of the day if don't move anymore?
I really miss this one because it also showed if you've burned enough kcal compared to your kcal intake.

I’d also like to go back to the old dashboard. This one is sleek, but it requires a lot of scrolling to view the entire layout that the old block layout didn't need. I’d rather be able to see all of my tiles rather than have to play scroll and go find the particular one I’m interested in at that moment in time. If someone could let me know how to revert back asap, that’d be great. Time spent with my face in my phone is not time lived.

Thanks for the recent update. I do not like it. You have provided me with the incentive I needed to go to the Apple watch.

Since new dashboard sleep isn’t tracking properly.
If im awake too long during sleep it stops tacking it then instead of showing all of the sleep/wake periods.
Really unhappy with new new design due to this as sleep tracking is very important for me. And now I can’t go back to the old version.

I originally bought this tracker for sleep tracking, that was 8 years ago. You would think they would improve it over the years instead of going downhill:(.

I am looking as well. At first I couldn't justify the cost, but I have decided functionality is more important!

Is there any way to add and log recipes with the new update? A can not find a place to create new ones, and the recipes which I have created and logged in the past are no longer present.

I haven’t received the new dashboard and update the app. When will I receive the option?

Hi there, I updated to the new look dashboard and I have to say I was very disappointed. It’s full and doesn’t seem to offer and new? If anything it’s taken away... i now have to scroll down to see everything when before the thumbnail view of widgets it was easier to see more goal at a glance. I smashed my targets yesterday and when I when on to check there was no colourful explosion celebration 🎉 😔. I’d too like to change back!!! Or update this version so you can have colour change /layout/ celebration options please.
Also why why is there always a red dot in the notifications tray? To me that feels like it’s indicative of something when there’s nothing in there, it’s quire annoying.

If y’all force me to use this new dashboard, I will go back to using my Apple Watch instead. I absolutely hate the layout and functionality.

I have not yet changed to the new dashboard.
From what I can tell from this thread and the article about the new app, there's nothing compelling about the new design - it appears to be change for change's sake. I'm not sure why Fitbit has made such a sweeping change to the design of an app that millions of people use on a daily basis without explaining why.
Could one of the moderators explain why the new design is *better* than the old design and not simply *different*?

My app updated this morning and I have to say I’ am not impressed at all it’s dreadful.
Sleek new look you have to be joking! I’am actually amazed at how bad this change is and how you can possibility call this an improvement It’s not as intuitive as the previous version at all.
Please tell me there is a layout manager that lets you revert to the previous layout!

Dear LizzyFitbit,
this is my first post to community 🙂
I have serious malfunction of my Fitbit APP, since this morning after new experience was automatically installed on my phone (iPhone XS).
Namely, Fitbit APP is opening my "3rd party smart scale APP" automatically when I try to click on any tile on Fitbit APP dashboard.
I have revoked access to this "3rd party smart scale APP" but still problem repeats.
Only way out is to de-install my "3rd party smart scale APP" and then tiles are opening regularly on my Fitbit APP (if I install 3rd party application back, problem comes back).
However I do not find deinstalling of 3rd party application as acceptable solution, knowing that I have used and successfully paired those two application (Fitbit APP * 3rd party smart scale APP) for months.
Do you have any idea, how this will be solved?
regards,
Ljubisa

My app updated today, so far I'm unsure whether I like it. I get the impression it's supposed to look a bit more grown up than it used to but it seems to have lost a lot of the flexibility it had before (I can't rearrange the tiles) and it's impossible to see as many tiles as I would like as the main step display takes up so much space. My main gripe with it is the 250+ steps per hour display. There used to be 3 very clear markers. 250 complete, 250 incomplete or future. It's now virtually impossible to distinguish between future and current so I can't tell if I've already done the current one without clicking through to the next screen.

I don't really like the new dashboard... It was easier to see everything before and now I can't even find the way to set my alarms... Have you forgotten about it ?

Hi I recently updated to the new screen, whenever I try to click into a screen/tile the app crashes and shuts down. I have deleted the app and reinstalled multiple times and am still having the same issue. Is this a common bug? Will an update be released or are there any additional troubleshooting tips?

@Annlyz the alarm settings are now a little hidden:
On the main "today" tab of the dashboard, select your profile image at the top left of the screen, then select your fitbit. You will then be on the device settings where you'll find the alarms
