Fitbit Update: 8/15

Hey all!

This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.

A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?

Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.

Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.

Fitbit Update: 8/6

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.

We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app

Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.

Fitbit Update: 6/17

Hi Fitbit Family,

We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the App store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.

Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?

Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.

Fitbit Update: 5/22

Hi everyone!

We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?

We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.

Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!

Fitbit Update: 4/24

Hi everyone!

Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.

You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?

As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.

We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

Hi @greghei1@ECox@sully1311@LjubisaP@Richarddorffam and @Kdw26. Welcome to the Community. @Lsweet@IDunn0h and @MikeKinser. Nice to see you here.

@greghei1, thanks for getting back, as well for your questions. @Richarddorffam, thank you also for sharing your thoughts. The new dashboard was designed based on the feedback that our team has been receiving from other users, to improve your experience. You can access to your stats, and see personalized insights based on your information. Also, it was included the option to adjust the tiles so everyone can see their tiles that matter the most at glance. There are other improvements, and to learn more you can check this help article. While there isn't an option to go back to the previous update, our team will make sure to continue working and take your comments into consideration.

@IDunn0h, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. If you have the Ionic or Versa, you can set alarms within their settings. If you have a different device, from the Fitbit app tap on the Account icon > Fitbit device image > Silent Alarms. Make sure to sync so the changes can be saved.

@ECox, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the new dashboard, and I'm sorry about the difficulties that you're having with the challenges tile. Have you tried to force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone? If the issue persists, let me know your iPhone's model and the OS version.

@sully1311, thanks for stopping by and helping our members!

@MikeKinser, thanks for the information provided. I see your point of view, and just to confirm, have you tried to log out of the Fitbit app, force quit the Fitbit app, reboot your phone and log back in? If you have, please let me know your iPhone's model and iOS version.

@LjubisaP, thanks for getting back, as well for your efforts in trying the steps from my previous post. I'm sorry that this keeps happening. I've checked with our Support Team and apparently they already took your case under their wings. They'll continue working with you via email, keep an eye on your inbox.

@Lsweet, I appreciate your feedback about the new dashboard, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience with its new design. We'll keep working on our services, and your comment will not be taken for granted. About the situation experienced with the clock face not working correctly, may I know the model of your Fitbit device? Does this happen only with the "Retro" clock face? If you've not done so, I'd recommend to try restarting your device.

@Kdw26, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry for the issues that you've had with the new dashboard. I'll help you out with this. May I know the model of your iOS mobile? Have you made sure that your iOS mobile is updated to the latest version? If so, I'd recommend to force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.

I'll be around if you need anything else.

Yes I’ve done all of the normal suggestions and it continues to do the same thing. I have an iPhone 8plus running IOS 12.3.2

@MikeKinser what opens when you tap the step tile found on the dashboard?

@Kdw26. when a user is invited to a challenge there should be an invite show up on the dashboard, clicking this invite should open a preview. The other way would be to click on the invite that was received through email.

To create a challenge let's click the discover found at the bottom of the dashboard, then click Challenges and Adventures.

No matter what I tap on, it opens my scale app (OkOk International).

I don’t like the app, is there a way to go back to the old version?

@Rich_Laue I am familiar with how to accept the challenge - been doing them weekly for years. The issue is when I click on the invite it either doesn’t open at all or, if it does open, it won’t allow me to select the ‘accept’ or ‘sneak peak’ options - when I click them it takes me back to the main dashboard without joining the challenge. I’ve never had any issue with the old dashboard so I’m disappointed with the changes.

I have the new app and am having trouble with challenges.  I run a bunch of challenges every week and know that you can only have 10 active challenges going at any time.  In the new dashboard/app I have only two current active challenges, and the rest of them all expired Friday night (we use the workweek hustle challenges).   When I went to try and create new ones today to start tomorrow, it wont let me!  It has a message where the "Create or Start" button should be that says "Active Challenge Limit Reached".  I've never had this problem in the old app, and I know you can't delete challenges after they've ended.  I help a health coach by running step challenges for her clients, and now I can't create any.

Please help!

Please help....  I can't create any new challenges.  I know you can only have 10 Active challenges at any one time.  Currently I am only in two active challenges, but have a lot still showing up that ended on Friday night (for the WorkWeek Hustle challenge).  I run challenges for a health coach so she can monitor who of her clients are getting their steps in, and each week I send out new invites, and have never had this problem before, but I just updated to the new dashboard/app.  When I try to create a new challenge, it just says "Active challenge limit reached" where the button should be at the bottom for me to create a new one.

Please help!

The old app, or the old dashboard style? Currently you can have the latest style with or without the latest app. Or you can have the latest app with or without the new dashboard.

However as mentioned above, once accepting the new dashboard, there is no return

Is there opportunity with the next update to have macros listed (including sugar and sodium) as actual numbers and not percentages?  It’s really hard to plan.

@Rich_Laue No matter what I click on it opens my scale app. Number of steps, open the scale app. Sleep pattern, open the scale app. Track food or water, open the scale app.

I’ve logged out of the app, killed the app, restarted the phone and repeated everything.

Next option is to open Amazon app and look for a tracker from another manufacturer completely. Pretty sure that will work just fine.

I have the same exact issue!  It still happens when I unlinked data sharing between them.  Only way the Fitbit app would function properly is when I deleted the scale app completely.  Obviously that isn't a good solution.

@jmm25 On the main "today" tab of the dashboard, select your profile image at the top left of the screen, then select your fitbit. You will then be on the device settings where you'll find the alarms

Hi

I have tried logging out from of my account, force quitting the Fitbit app, rebooting my phone, reopening the Fitbit app and logging into my account and I am still having the same issue. I have tried deleting and re downloading the app after leaving it off my phone for a day and I am still having an issue where if I try to click into any of the tiles on the entire app just shuts down.

Why did fitbit change the app layout? most sites are switching to "tiled" layouts, like the app was. Easy to navigate and visually appealing, and then you had to go ahead and make it confusing. Like new coke, get rid of it.

I absolutely cannot stand the new app 😡😡😡 BRING BACK THE OLD APP
